The media could not be loaded. 7 piece drum set. The kids are pretty impressed! About 12 years ago we bought a little cheap drum set. It cost maybe 30 dollars and lasted a month. This is a full sized, considerably better drum set! As a young couple there is no way we could have afforded this back then, so it is on the higher end for a young family on a budget. (Note: Eastar does make a simpler set for half the price) But, now as a homeschool family, the price is what I would expect for my kids to be learning on for music class. You definitely get a very good value for your money! It took about 2 hours to assemble with the help of two of my kids. One thing I would say is to make sure you run your finger around the bass drum rim and tom tom before placing down and tightening the drum heads. When I did the first tom tom drum head I didn't check and a little wood fleck or grain pressed into the head. It'd be awfully easy to puncture the head as you're focused on tightening evenly. Also make sure you tighten according to the pattern on the back of the instructions for a good even tension (my teenager pointed that out to me). The Hi-hat cymbals are tricky to understand. Sandwich the top cymbal between the felt and screws, similar to the crashing symbol. Then, rest the lower cymbal on the larger felt with the plastic screw to keep it from jumping up. Then, adjust the pedal height to what you prefer. In the photo and video is my 6 yr old for drum size reference. It seems to be a good buy for a 6 yr old - young teen. I think even I could sit in a adjustable desk chair at this set and learn some drumming patterns. I'm very pleased with our purchase! It is a solid entry level junior set!

I bought this set for my son for Christmas. Once put together it’s a great beginner drum set. Great price. The directions were horrible, and it’s a lot to figure out if you’re not a drummer. I got it all together but it took me 3 hours and I had quite a few left over hardware. The directions had very basic pics on it and no explanation. Good luck

We ordered this set for our sons 9th birthday present as he has shown a real huge interest in drumming and snuck things into his room to drum. We sent him with his aunt for the night so we could set them up and surprise him when he came home after his big birthday fun day and we expected assembly to be difficult but it was fairly easy though the instructions were a little confusing. They came in great condition as well and looked very nice. Our son is autistic and since receiving his drums we have seen such a change in him. He happily drums every day after school and just loves them. We are so happy with our purchase.

Packed well, Assembly was straight forward and simple. Bass Drum needed legs attached which were 2 thumb screws, and front and back drum heads attached using provided key and tension rods. Had a bit of issue with one of the tension bars, but thankfully there were spares included so I didn't need to stress about it. Floor tomtom needed drum heads and legs attached, same as bass drum. Snare, medium, and small tomtom were assembled and ready for tightening and mounting. I got the set put together while watching some football. Set is perfectly sized for my daughter. She is going to be thrilled with it Christmas morning.

This set is a great size for an 8 yr old. The sound is amazing. My only complaint is with the assembly instructions. They were very hard to follow. I ended up going to YouTube, luckily there was one video that explained the assembly clearly.

I’m gonna start by saying I don’t know anything about drums. I got these to learn on and I had NO CLUE how to put them together. The instructions were basically non existent…. So I found a YouTube video by a guy called Demon Sweaters… even though I was totally put off by his name I became soooo grateful to him since he really did a phenomenal job explaining how to assemble them! They sound good to me and my novice ear and they are fun.

This was the WORST purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon! The ONLY reason I gave it one star is because I couldn’t move forward without giving it something!! However, I bought this as a birthday gift for my son, and he was beyond excited—it was truly the gift of his dreams. That excitement quickly turned into disappointment when it started malfunctioning just two days after assembly. Assembly: Yes, you have to put it together yourself, which wasn’t a huge deal for me. It took about two hours to fully assemble, but let me tell you—some of these screws required serious strength to tighten. I highly recommend having a strong pair of pliers or even a second set of hands, especially for securing the bass drum’s foot pedal. The instructions were okay, but not the most user-friendly, so be prepared to do some troubleshooting. Durability & Quality: Now, here’s where the real nightmare begins. Within two weeks, the bass drum and washers started coming loose. My son is only five years old—he’s not a professional drummer pounding away with full force, yet the entire setup started falling apart like it was made of paper. The bass drum pedal completely broke down, the hi-hat washers came loose, and eventually, the hi-hat stopped moving up and down altogether. At this point, it was completely unusable. The Disappointment: I was beyond frustrated, not just because of the poor quality, but because my son was heartbroken. He was so excited to finally have a drum set, only for it to fall apart right in front of him. The worst part? I had to go through the hassle of disassembling and returning it, which was just another headache. Final Recommendation: If you decide to buy this, GET THE INSURANCE. Unless you’re an expert at assembling and reinforcing musical instruments, this drum set will not last. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, but if you must, have a professional put it together and be prepared for possible repairs within weeks. Save yourself the frustration—spend a little extra for a higher-quality set that won’t break your kid’s heart.
