I'm rating these 5 stars because my hand is enough under the smallest measurement that I just don't get as much compression as I would like (at the spot they tell you to measure mine comes to 2.75 inches). That is my own error for assuming it would probably be fine (there are other styles and brands out there that will probably be better suited to my apparent baby hands). That said, they still do provide some relief and at minimum are a nice lightweight glove if my hands get cold in the office. I would recommend these for folks to try out without hesitation, particularly if you are more within the overall sizing guidelines.     • Great for Arthritis Relief!!

These gloves are a great way to help relieve painful osteoarthritis in my hands! The compression is snug without being too tight. (I'm a woman with slightly larger than average hands and long fingers and I wear men's-sized ski gloves.) Although I do think it's possible that if you have smaller-diameter fingers you might find the fit looser and thus, a little less effective. On the other hand, (bad pun intended) if you have larger-diameter fingers (say, larger than a breakfast sausage) you may find them a little too tight. Definitely if you have kielbasa-sized fingers. But I digress...For me, they're comfortable enough to wear overnight if I've had a taxing day using my hands around the house or garden. I can sleep more comfortably when my hands aren't aching, and these gloves do the trick. The fabric is also thin enough to allow wear under my kitchen or garden gloves, a definite plus while doing chores. And the grippy surface means I can drive in them and complete household tasks without things slipping out of my hands. An added plus is that they help grip jar lids when twisting them open! I also like that these gloves cover all of the joints on my fingers, leaving just the fingertips exposed. Not all compression gloves cover all finger joints. They wash easily (I toss them in a zippered net laundry bag so I can easily find them) and I do not put them in the dryer in order to preserve the stretch. They line dry VERY quickly. I also like that there are two pair of gloves, so I always have a clean pair to use. NOTE: The seller is great - I contacted them because a seam on the fingertip of one glove began to unravel immediately. I did not see how I could repair it myself, or I would have. I asked the seller if one glove could be replaced, but instead, the seller offered to reduce the price significantly. Since this would still leave me with one unusable glove, I chose to return the set and reorder another. The second set was perfect, and I've been using them daily for more than a week, having washed them twice. I will update this review, if necessary, but for now, I'm one happy person with less joint discomfort because of these VERY cool gloves! I do wish they came in different colors, but hey - we can't have everything, can we? BOTTOM LINE: Try them!! Amazon returns are easy and quick. I hope they work out well for you!! ... show more

These gloves are alright and do offer a modicum of pain relief. For better compression, I think the next pair I try will be one size smaller - and see how that goes. They've been surprisingly durable and I do hand wash them once a week and air dry them. If you're careful in taking them off gently, they should last a while. ... show more

I've been using a pair from JoAnn Fabrics forever. Reasonable price for a pair but no knubbies for gripping. Also another pair, really didn't do much. But this set of two in medium which I wear fit perfect, all the way except for tips of fingers and the gripping knubbies are great!! I love these gloves. They are snug, comfy and have the convenient rubber grips. They do provide compression relief. I also thought the price was fair for two pairs. Unfortunately, BOTH pairs tore at the seams on the outside of the wrist, near the bottom. I was gentle when pulling them on but they both busted in the same place. Dealing with RA and Raynaud's causes my fingertips to be painfully cold sometimes (a lot of the time). Also, I have developed painful nodes in the joint closest to the fingertip. While I wouldn't actually call these compression gloves, they do provide a small bit of tightness without losing flexibility. That said, I've found myself in them constantly. The length of the fingers covers that last joint which is the most important to me. They also help keep my hands warmer and therefore less painful. They work perfectly as an everyday, all-day glove without making my hands sweaty. The fabric breathes and I'm breathing a bit easier too. ... show more

They seem fine, but I got a large because others I purchased cut off circulation in a med. These actually ran a bit loose should have gotten a medium.
