I’ve tried quite a few car air fresheners over the years, and the Drift Scent Car Air Freshener Kit is easily one of the best designed options I’ve used. The whole system feels premium right out of the box. The wood freshener and magnetic visor clip are simple, clean, and don’t look cheap or overly flashy like the typical cardboard air fresheners. Installation takes about 10 seconds—just clip the metal holder onto the visor and the wooden scent block snaps right into place magnetically. It stays secure even on rough roads and doesn’t slide around. The scent itself is what really stands out. Instead of that overpowering chemical smell many car fresheners have, this one is subtle and natural. It makes the car smell clean and fresh without being overwhelming, which I really appreciate on longer drives. Passengers notice it, but it’s never too strong. Another nice feature is that the scent blocks are replaceable, so once it fades you can swap in a new one without replacing the whole setup. It’s a simple system that actually feels well thought out. Scent: Cabana/Starter Kit
This is my first time buying Drift car air freshener and I absolutely love it. I love how the cabana smells and I can’t wait to buy more other scents! I hated having those air fresheners that hang and the car vent ones, as I felt they were always in the way. I also didn’t like the way those fresheners only seemed to stay in the front of the car. It was easy to install. Just followed the directions of airing it out so that it soaks up all the oils before placing it on the magnet. I installed the clip on the passenger side visor and I believe is a perfect place to put it. It does get on your hands when you open it, so be careful as the pack it comes in, is full of the oil. I made sure to was my hands because the oil stayed on my hands. With Drift, the WHOLE car smells good. Very effective. It seems to be lasting a longer time than the traditional air fresheners, but we’ll see after a month! There are times where the smell dies down, but out of nowhere it bursts full of freshness again!

Scent: Open Air/3 Pack Refill
The Drift Car Air Freshener is a nice upgrade from the typical overpowering car scents. The “Open Air” fragrance is clean and light without feeling artificial, and it does a good job of keeping the car from smelling stale without being distracting. The scent strength is more subtle than strong, which I actually preferred for daily driving. It feels more like a fresh, neutral environment than a heavily perfumed space. The essential oil aspect also gives it a more natural feel compared to standard vent clips or hanging air fresheners. One thing to note is that the metal clip isn’t included with the refill pack, so you’ll need to already have one or buy it separately. The refill system itself is convenient, and the scent does last a decent amount of time before needing replacement. Overall, it’s a simple, clean option that focuses more on freshness than fragrance overload, which makes it easy to live with every day.

It seems to have a lot of scent oil contained within the stone, it has a slight residue when handling it. Be careful when opening, it slipped out of the package on me and shattered on the floor, some of the pieces were a little sharp. The magnets contained within the stone are of pretty good quality and are now being used to hang refrigerator artwork. I didn't care too much for the scent but that is just a me thing.

I saw this on a YouTube video. The guy said the scent was so strong he had to put the block in his car's trunk! Come on. He must have gotten a special version for his review. Here's my honest review of the GROVE scent. First problem for me is the metal clip. It would be such a tight fit on my sun visor that I immediately knew it would leave a permanent crease. So I attached it to my phone holder. Works perfectly there without interfering with the phone. But then we come to the scent. It's a pleasant scent. Not really sure what "grove" means, but it smells nice. However, it's not strong at all. It's barely perceptible. That's kind of a bummer in that they are saying to replace it in "less than" 30 days. I have a feeling the scent is going to disappear really quick and at the price of these items, it's just not worth it. Now if they provided a kit to revive the scent by immersing the stone in liquid maybe these would be worth it.

I love this scent. I think it is one of the best for drift. Very woodsy smelling but not to overbearing. Very natural and actually last almost the full month. Mine was in a 2020 mustang in Florida. So it’s hot and the mustang isn’t a large car by any stretch, but the whole car smelled amazing. I save my “cartridges” and then soak them in essential oils to reuse later on and try different scents. One thing I will say that not a lot of people talk about with these is, the stone definitely lasts longer than the wood. I’ve had several wooden Drift fresheners and they do last a decent amount of time, but the stone always last longer and sometimes about double the time frame. Even the scent is stronger from the stone. For what it’s worth, I say the few extra dollars for the stone over the wood is well worth it from a value perspective.

I picked up the Drift Stone Air Freshener Starter Kit in the John Wick scent and honestly did not expect much. Most car fresheners either smell cheap, fade fast, or hit you with an overpowering fake fragrance. This one does not. The scent is clean but bold. It has a darker smooth vibe. You notice it when you first get in the car, but it is not overwhelming. After a few minutes it settles in and makes the whole cabin feel upgraded. The stone design looks solid and modern. It does not look like something you grabbed at a gas station. The magnetic clip holds tight and stays in place. What I like most is that it smells intentional. It feels more like a subtle cologne than a typical car air freshener. It makes the car feel put together. If you are tired of the usual options and want something that actually feels premium, this is worth trying. I will definitely keep using it.

Scent: Macadamia Swirl
I bought the macadamia nut with the stone. I love that it's basically out of sight. It's not overwhelming, in fact sometimes I don't smell it at all (took off a star for that). I've had it over a month and it still gives off a scent albeit sporadically. The scent I received smells good. Since it's a porous stone I'm going to try addi g my own essential oil when this dissipates more. If that doesn't work I'll try another scent. Overall nicer product than others. Really like the look and location.
