I ordered these boots mainly because of a nasty leg injury. I have an event coming up that I will need to wear a dress to and I need to hide my bruised and bandaged leg. My one leg is quite swollen still from mid calf to ankle and foot so I was unsure if I would even be able to get these boots on the affected leg. Boots came today and I was thrilled to get the boots on my injured leg. The partial zipper made getting them on absolutely painless. I wear a 10.5 shoe and ordered size 11 boots. Normally size 11 is too long for me but these fit well so I'm thinking they run just a pinch small. My feet are a bit wide at the toe and at first I thought I wouldn't be able to get my foot in but the boot fit perfectly! The footbed is flat with no arch support so of you have arch issues I would suggest adding some arch inserts. Despite looking narrow, there seems to be just enough room for my toes with medium weight socks on. Now, about the color: I ordered the Taupe-wide calf. The description on the box matches what I ordered however the color is darker than pictured on the listing. The color of the boots I received looks more to be "Taupe" (without the wide calf). Not really a deal breaker for me even of I did want the lighter color. Ah yes, there are the pockets in each boot also. Who would have ever thought to pit pockets inside boots? The pockets and boots over all seem nicely stitched. But honestly, I don't know if carrying a credit card or ID in the boot pockets is a great idea. I would worry that a card would eventually scootch up and out of the pocket and either end up under your foot or lost somewhere on the sidewalk... Again not a deal breaker for me because I'm not in the habit of carrying cards around in my boots anyway. So, these are nice fashion boots and would recommend them if you're looking for something to wear with a long skirt or jeans.

I am packing these up to return and I am so sad. They are not leather, but they are so soft and really nice looking. The inside has a very soft lining. The calf is very roomy and comfortable, but the foot is not. I wanted an easy comfy boot and this would have been it if it came in wide. Sad to have to be returning these. They are really nice!

I usually wear a 6.5 or 7.0...I read the reviews and some thought they were too narrow and decided to go with size or 1/2 size up. I went with the size 7, and glad I did. They did have a little extra room in the toes, but the width was perfect. I wore a heavier sock and the boots fit perfectly. I bought the brown pair first, and decided to purchase the black pair . I already had a pair of black suede boots, and wanted to get a more waterproof boot for the wet weather, I got the leather looking ones. I wore them with my dress and pants ..and they looked good with both. They can look both dressy or casual. I love the zipper on the inside so you can easily slip your foot into the boot. There's also a little pocket at the top inside of the boot where you can stash money or credit card. I love these boots. I was lucky to get one on sale and the other was marked down so I paid $34 for one pair and $40 for the other pair. (I wish I had brought both pairs when they $34.)

So, first off, these boots are super cute! They fit great and I agree with other reviewers to order the wide calf if you're normal sized. It's neat to have the little pocket to stash cash or a small cell phone or chapstick! I would give these a 5 star rating except they have absolutely NO TRACTION!!! I repeat, no traction whatsoever! The first morning I had them I was sitting on the couch having my coffee and threw my new boots on. "Oh they're so cute! Just what I was looking for! Perfect fit and color! I can even wear my leg warmers :)" Then I walked into the kitchen and promptly lost all traction. It was like walking onto black ice and losing all control. Broke my favorite coffee mug, ruined my white shirt, and bruised my bum and my elbow. I have no idea when I'm going to be able to wear these now, it's winter time and there's either ice or snow or rain. Groovy. So if you're looking to buy these, only plan on wearing them on nice clear warm days. Oh, also consider scraping the heck out of the soles before you even put them on. And whatever you do, don't walk on vinyl or hardwood floors. Take it from someone who learned the hard way.

The media could not be loaded. These remind me of my favorite boots I wore for years. They are the first ones I've found to even somewhat fit my wide calves! I wish they were just a little wider since mine are 19.5" and the boot is 19", so hopefully they'll stretch a little out but they still fit, just not as high as they could be, but thankfully since they're Slouchy boots, it works! Styled with the outfit I wore today to go shopping. I got the brown and they almost perfectly match the brown skirt I got from Amazon recently. Would recommend! I'm keeping them and might even get other colors in the future. They also have credit card pockets inside which is a cool feature. And they also have a soft inside.

I struggle to find boots with a wide enough width to fit comfortably around my calves. Either they fit too snug, or they are too large around the calf and look bulky and odd with my short stature. These boots with the elastic stretch band at the calf are a perfect combination of comfort and moderate width. The zipper on the sides of the boots adds both class and functionality. I will definitely be purchasing another pair in a different color.
