The media could not be loaded. Like the boots. I was worried about the calves, but fortunately they fit just right. I am an 8 wide, ordered 8.5 and it was just barely right in the foot, slightly tight but I think it will loosen with wear. My calves are 17.5" and also fit just right over thick leggings. This same model was offered by several vendors but this seemed the most aesthetically appealing and best quality, and I think it was. The fur lining, the hardware on the side, the sole, the heel and the small details like packing them in individual fabric bags all add to the quality. Haven't worn them out but they seem sturdy. I just wish they were a bit shorter in height and a bit wider in the foot

I was worried about these boots after reading some of the reviews. These boots were the third pair I've ordered online within the last month. The other two pairs were sent back to the companies I ordered them from. One pair didn't even have an even heel so you couldn't walk safely on them. So needless to say I was very hesitant that these would work. I have a wider calf so that's a whole other problem when it comes to boots. And another requirement for my boots are that they have to have a non slip sole. I don't like sliding around when I wear boots. Let's talk about how they arrived. Each boot was wrapped in a dust bag and had stuffing in each boot. They also arrived in a box. To put them to a solid test, I wore them, without breaking them in, for 9 hours at work. I am on my feet all day and walk up and down steps multiple times a day. Not only did my feet not hurt, but the boots held up. I walked 7,144 steps in all with the boots on. They looked and felt the same afterwards. Sure, they could use more cushion, but I have insoles I move into different shoes and I could that if I felt like it. I expect to buy fall boots every year. For this price point, if I have to buy a different pair next year due to these getting worn out, that's okay. I liked the warm lining on the inside of the boots as it added a little extra warmth. No, they aren't as warm as wearing a pair of Uggs, but the lining is a nice touch. I sized up so that I could wear thick socks and I'm glad I did. They are a bit big without the thick socks, but perfect with them. Overall for the price point, I think they are a great value.

Full disclosure - I am someone who obsesses when I buy something by researching the heck out of it and read reviews like a madwoman. I am horrible in that I don't often leave reviews (although I am trying to fix that here an now!) but I almost NEVER, EVER purchase something that hasn't already received plenty of reviews. Well, almost never. Because when I bought these boots, there were no reviews yet and I was hesitant to purchase them for that very reason. But I have thick calves (16") and I wanted some boots. And these had super cute quilting on the back. And zippers. And well, Amazon is pretty awesome so I figured I could beg a return if they were awful. I was beyond thrilled when the boots arrived. Not only did they look just as cute in the box as they did on the screen, they fit LIKE A DREAM. The interior zipper glides effortlessly. I wear them with my Old Navy Rockstar jeans tucked into them and they are the comfiest thing ever. I bought them in the dark brown and received a ton of compliments on them. So much so that I recommended them to a co-worker and she showed up with the black pair a few weeks later! They don't bunch and sag around my ankles and the foot is nice and roomy. I wear a 7.5 to 8 depending - I bought these in an 8 and they fit perfectly. I want to get the black pair as well (wish it had a silver zipper instead of gold but the gold still looks nice in person). My only disappointment is the toe on my left boot is starting to wear off and you can see the black of the boot underneath. Not sure what the fix for that would be and I've only had these a few months (although I have worn them quite a few times!). But for the price, I am not *too* surprised and I still love them. Great, great boots for us ladies with the larger calves!!
