I LOVE these boots! I've had them for about a month and a half and they are VERY comfortable. I wear a size 8 1/2 W or a regular 9 in shoes. There was no 8.5 W for a size choice, so I ordered the 9 just to be cautious. As it turns out, I could have ordered the 8.5 since there was plenty of room in the size 9. I didn't send them back to switch sizes, I just added shoe inserts to make them fit a bit better. I highly recommend these boots and they seem to be true to size and able to accommodate wide width even when the the size is just regular. I would totally buy them again! ... show more

Update: it's 2 years later and I have worn these on multiple trips to multiple cities and walked miles and miles in them (with squishy insoles I added) and they still look great and feel great. They have held up super well! DO NOT try to walk through TSA Precheck with these on, there's too much metal and you'll have to get an extra screening. It took me about 3-4 times to remember that. I do wear them when traveling so they don't take up space in my luggage, I just preemptively take them off to go through security now. Original review: I love these boots! I bought a half size up bc someone once told me you always buy a half size up in boots. This advice has never once failed me. I would say these run true to size. I bought a pair of cushioned insoles and the extra half size left enough space that there is room for the insoles without squishing my foot. I do recommend comfort insoles bc these are fairly flat and hard on the bottom. These have a side zipper so once you tie them you never have to re-lace and re-tie them again. That is such a nice feature and it also looks great. I walked around New York City in these boots on a cold and rainy day, and my feet stayed dry and (relatively) warm. If you are looking for stylish, all purpose, low boots, that you can wear in all types of weather these are a great option. (Get some cheap cushioned insoles as well.) ... show more

I love these boots so much, because they're very comfortable and quite stylish to look at. They're one of the only pairs I have that I could wear right out the box and not get sore feet after an hour. I literally wear them almost every day when I go out. Unfortunately I must dock off a star because the durability is pretty bad. The pleather outside is easily scratched and the plastic inside giving it structure cracks too easily. I wore the shoes every day for less than two months and the plastic inside broke and tore through the fabric to rub at the back of my ankle. Unfortunate. I will also say that if you enjoy crossing your legs, don't keep the laces tied up like they come to you; you will inevitably brush your shoes together, accidentally catch one of the laces onto the hook, and fall off your sea because you couldn't catch your balance. Ask me how I know. However, those cons didn't stop me from wearing these until they were pretty much falling apart on me (which took about a year). Would rec buying if you can get them on sale for not 40+ bucks. ... show more

I am amending my review. These boots certainly had their problems. But they were easily returned. HOWEVER the biggest surprise was the amazing customer service from this company. They took the time to address my review and offered to allow me to obtain another pair. I have never had such consideration from a company!! I am changing my review based on this. Side zipper on left sown shut; it didn't work. On right the zipper worked but the holes for laces were all messed up and couldn't thread. Returned. Of note I had also ordered gray boots but they came a few days later. These boots were made well, fit well and are comfortable. ... show more

I just received my boots but I like them. They are true to size. They have a somewhat round toe. At least it's rounder than another pair that I tried. I love the combat book look. I was looking for a boot that did not have a heel. This one has a bit of a heel but I think it will work. I'm going to replace the ties because they're too stiff to stay tied but other than that, I'm looking forward to wearing them. ... show more
