These boots have thin rubber soles compared to the hard leather soles of work books made for outdoors. But these are about a third the price as a high quality pair of real leather boots. These fake leather, zip up fashion boots are very soft and comfortable, so no need to break them in like tough leather boots. The listing mentions rhinestones but there are no sparkles on these boots. The fit of these boots is fine. They seem like they are made for narrow/regular feet. Snug fit, I need two hands to pull them off. They are VERY tall, they go almost up to my knees. I usually look for a boot with a narrow calf, but these are not too big or too small in the calf. These boots are so comfortable compared to expensive brands I have. I always size up with cowboy boots & glad I did with these as well. They fit perfectly and I can wear socks with them. The calf area is loose and comfortable, nothing rubs on my legs. Very cute on and good quality as well
