Every detail was thought of in the design. For example: Very sturdy sole with deep treads. The inside is fully lined with a minky-feel fur. The laces stay put but slightly adjustable. When you open the zipper it expands the inner insulated sleeve which then folds back when you close the zipper. Instead of a strip of fabric under the zipper, there is an expandable sleeve sewn down on both sides, so there is no way for any snow to get inside. My boys love these. Fit is between true to size and slightly runs big but not enough to size up.

My son says they are very comfortable, played in the snow the day after they arrived and kept his feet warm and dry. I measured his feet and went off the size chart and they came a bit big but better a little big than small!

Great for my five year old. We live in Wyoming. They kept my son's feet dry and warm. Good everyday boot. Lasted all winter and we can pass them on to his little brother. They still look new. He could run in them at school and they weren't slippery. I liked the look and value for the price. They weren't to heavy on his feet and he could slip them on himself

Got these for my LO who can wear a size 3 in the fleece lined Crocs. These boots are great, but fit MY foot, a size 7/8 in womens. I can wear a size 5/6 in kids shoes, but these were size 3s. LO wants to save for next year. Has about 3 inches before they'll be too small for feet. Boot looks solid and the side Zipper is great for the thicker feet to get in.
