A bit tight in the toe box & the shaft opening is a bit lager then I expected. I have to wear wide leg jeans or wide leg pants. I can't wear shorts with these boots, I have slim calves.

My leather boots need to be resoled. When I found these I looked at the product description that states these have leather outer material. I was surprised at the price. I thought it would be nice to have a second pair. For the price I wasn't expecting Ariat or Coach quality boots . But the product description clearly states that the outer material is leather. It's not leather at all. I didn't smell leather when I I opened the box. Nothing on the boot or box says leather. They don't look like leather. Faux leather, yes. But that's not how these are described.

With bunions and wide calves, it is hard for me to find boots that fit. The price on these was so reasonable that I had to give them a try. I put them on and they zipped right up with no troubles. With only really thin socks on, the boots were comfy on my bunions and left a little space around my calf, too. It would be tough to get them over a pair of jeans, however. The color is a great neutral and the heel height is perfect. I am 5'2" and standard boots sit on the bottom of my knee which is an awkward fit. These boots came in a little lower and are an okay fit. Ideally, another 1/2" shorter would be the ticket. Since I won't be getting any taller, I will be content with these. They look very leather-like. Although I haven't worn them too much since I got them (it's been too darn hot), they still look new. I hope to enjoy them for a while.

I could tell this was a good quality boot by the way they were packaged; they had an insert to keep the boot in its upright shape, which I appreciated. It looks a lot more expensive than it costs! The brown color is gorgeous. They felt a little bit big, but I usually wear thicker socks with boots, so hopefully that won’t be an issue. Comfort wise, they felt pretty good. My big problem was the they are really meant for those with thicker calves - you can see from my photo that it’s really wide around the top. So much so, that I don’t need to zip and unzip, I just can slip my feet in. I would have given it 5 stars if the calf area was not so wide.

I chose the brown color and it's a really nice-looking boot and feels comfortable when you try it on. They did come folded in half in the box (as expected) but I was pleased that there was not a crease in the boot shaft which sometimes happens when boots are folded. I was reading in the description that the calf was wide and had some elastic but unfortunately for me, they were just a little too small for me to zip fully around my calf. I do have a large, muscular calf that measures 17 inches around the widest part. I do have a friend that I was able to give them to, that was able to get them zipped up and is enjoying them. I also want to mention that I chose the size 10 but the fit more like 9-9.5.
