The Delta in2ition two-in-one shower features a detachable hand shower which can be used separately from or simultaneously with the shower head. • Indistinguishable from the Brizo
Color: Chrome Size: 1.75 GPM Water Flow Style: With Lumicoat
Having ordered a sprayer by Brizo for over $300 (that arrived with a scratch in the chrome), I started searching for a better price. I was intrigued when I saw this in the search results - it looked the same ?!? and was over $100 less… I ordered it, and I’m here to tell you that I cannot tell the difference between the Delta-branded one and the Brizo. I’ve yet to install it in the bathroom remodel, but I expect I’ll need to alter the limiter to actually be able to rinse hair properly, but that’s with all fixtures nowadays. My one quibble with both this and the Brizo “version” is that the inside of the larger, fixed ring is just a grey plastic rather than the “chrome”. It would be nicer if they didn’t cut that corner, given the price. But all in all, I’m satisfied with the heft of this sprayer, the hose design, and how tightly the magnetic grip is (does not feel like one wrong move vs the hose will send it all crashing down). I also feel the design is sufficiently nice enough to blend in with the high end “Georgian era” thermostatic trim kit and tub spout from Rohl, while still offering the proper functionality needed in a children’s bathroom. I really didn’t want/need to go the route of a never-to-be-used expensive fixed shower head with the even more expensive hand sprayer attached to a vertical bar and this fits the bill quite nicely. ... show more

  • Expensive, but Good Shower Head
This review is for the: Delta Faucet 5-Spray H2Okinetic In2ition 2-in-1 Dual Hand Held Shower Head with Hose and Magnetic Docking, Stainless 58480-SS-PK. Amazon has a habit of mixing reviews for similar items. I bought this to replace an older similar Delta shower head made mostly of plastic with a stiffer hose. This model has a very flexible metal hose and mostly metal parts. This shower head was easy to install using a crescent wrench and a slip joint plier. You do not need teflon tape as the rubber gaskets suffice. Since there were no instructions in my box, here are suggested steps I followed: 1. Remove the old shower head. a. place a towel under the shower head over the drain so parts won't disappear if dropped. b. hold the shower pipe with rag and slip joint pliers. c. remove the old shower head with the crescent wrench counterclockwise. d. remove any tape reside from pipe threads. 2. Prep the new shower head a. do not attach the flexible hose to the shower head. b. seperate the detachable shower head from the main shower head. c. separate the large nut from the main shower head with the slip joint pliers. - protect the finish with a rag. d. there will be two parts to the removed nut, keep them together e. see below (step 7) if you want to remove the flow restrictor. 3. Attaching the shower head nut a. hand tighten the two piece connector nut to the pipe clockwise. - make sure the screen washer is still in the nut b. tighten the connector nut clockwise with a crescent wrench - hold the shower pipe with a rag and a pair of slip joint pliers. - you do NOT need to over-tighten as the washer will seal the joint. - if there is a leak later, you can tighten more c. the large nut should be hanging loosely from the pipe. 4. Attaching the shower head a. mate the main shower head to the nut by Hand tightening it to the large nut b. the hose and hand shower head should not be attached at this time. c. with a rag and the slip joint pliers tighten the large nut snugly. - do not over tighten, but it needs to be snug so there is friction when re-position it during a shower 5. Attaching the removable shower head a. remove all the plastic wrap from the hose b. hand attach the smooth hose nut to the removable shower head. - tighten by hand as best you can as there are no flanges for a wrench. c. hand attach the flanged hose nut to the main shower head - let the removable head hang down on the towel as it will spin around d. Snug tighten the hose nut further with the crescent wrench. 6. Finish up a. Place the removable shower head in its cradle in the main show head. b. Pick up the towel and any items in the shower c. Turn on the shower and check for leaks d. Snug up as necessary. Supplemental: 7. Remove the flow restrictor a. if legal where you are it can be removed from the two piece connector. b. you need a dental pick or small screw driver and needle nose pliers c. in the small end of the connector there is a screened washer. - work out the washer with a pick or small screw driver - do not damage the washer d. the flow restrictor can be seen as a blue plastic part with an o-ring. e. pull the restrictor out with the needle nose pliers - there are small tabs to grab with the pliers - it is pressed in tightly and may take some force f. replace the screened washer g. return to step 3. FYI: I gave it 4 stars because the instructions were missing and its over priced. ... show more

  • Great shower head
Color: Venetian Bronze Size: 1.75 GPM Water Flow Style: Without Lumicoat
Wanted a shower with a removal handheld shower head to help my special needs daughter. Love this. Easy to remove from holder and magnet makes it easy to return to use as a standard shower. Easy to change spray and to pause spray.

  • Amazing shower head - but be warned if you remove the flow restricting insert
While this shower head doesn't have many of the features of those heads available at Costco or other similar big box wholesale stores, it certainly looks like a million bucks. We have water softeners (a main contributor to the long term appeal of this head) so we don't get any scale or water spots on the shower head. It still shines like a million bucks. Don't blame the head for your poor water quality - as many reviewers have done on here. Shiny chromed plastic/metal parts need good water or high maintenance to shine. Features - dual head spray, single head spray (removable or larger head only) -- soft spray jet, strong jet, and weird massage-but-not-massage spray ++ pause button that SUCKS if you have a hot water re-circulation pump...(more on this later) For starters - I did not test this with the flow restricting device; I removed it immediately. However, in hindsight, I should have done a comparison. The insert was NOT easy to remove on my unit, but that may vary by how it's pressed in at the factory. I took it out without incident and threw the unit together and slapped it on my water line. Took all of about 5 minutes as I took extra care to wrap the parts in a cloth as to protect them from tool marring. Shower head pulls a TON of water without the restricting insert. WOW. I can drain my water heater in about 10 minutes as opposed to my previous head which took me about 20 minutes. It does have a high rate of spray and will get your walls wet above what you're normally used to. The removable head is magnetically aligned and seated into the larger head and will fall out if not seated properly. We have a water pipe hanging shower caddie - this does not make for easy seating of the removable head. We have had it fall and the high-pressure water spray everywhere while giving the kids showers. It makes for a good laugh...the first time. The dual head mode is great for good water coverage, but it will effectively increase your water consumption by 40%. It doesn't have as many orifices as the removable head, but it will reduce the pressure of both heads. The box states it gives more even heat distribution, but it will reduce the heat concentration in order to even it out. It makes sense from a heat transfer standpoint, so you just need to turn up your hot water, and thus, reduce your shower time because you've increased the hot water flow rate by x*40%. The pause button is great for saving water. BUT, if your farthest point of return - on the hot water side - is in your bathroom, you're going to get pure hot water when you unpause the shower head. You'll have to understand how a hot water pump works in order to wrap your head around it - or you can just take my word for it. I guess this is true with any shower head you pause - but I felt like mentioning it so that you don't blast yourself with incredibly high pressure, boiling hot water. Great shower head overall. I am happy with it. Disappointed with the lack of usable features, but it's worth the trade off for the extra water coverage and aesthetics. ... show more
