These clamps are well made and sturdy. There were other clamps that were a little cheaper (on Amazon) but I bought these based on other reviews and some research. I used them to secure 2x4's during my outfeed table build for pocket hole screwing and gluing. Worked perfect since these open more than wide enough to clamp across the 3-1/2 inch face of the 2x4. Easy to adjust and solid hold on the wood. I also used it to clamp my dowel jig to the 2x4 skirts and stretchers, again, along the long side of the 2x4. One clamp held the jig firmly in place. Overall, quite happy with these clamps. Caveat: these clamps are new and I've only used them over the last few days about 10 times. If I remember, I'll update next year. ... show more

In the image presented, it shows a solid arm, yet what I got has a riveted hollow arm as the extension. It’s weaker because it’s reliant on the Rivet point only. Not the same as the item presented. Buyer beware. I bought these because of this alone and was duped.
