I was looking for a collar that was a bit more customisable than the standard remote. The collar has 3 mechanisms for correction. 1. Voice - Pick a preset sound or record your voice. 2. Vibration - Weak/Medium/Strong 3. Static Stimulation - Range of 1-100 When using progressive correction, there are 3 stages that can be programmed with any combination of the above 3 modes and strengths. With the automatic detection, you set a sound threshold which will trigger the 1st setting. If the sound exceeds the threshold again soon after the 1st instance, the 2nd setting is used and so on until the 3rd setting (preferred strongest settings) is used I found the sound threshold a little bit frustrating to work around. The minimum setting is 60 which is to prevent normal sounds from triggering the collar but at times it is too high for some persistent barking/whining/howling and wouldn't trigger. Additionally, when using lower settings to detect the barking, the dog scratching at his ears/neck etc. would trigger the sound/vibrations leading to confusion with my dog. One of the features that also appealed to me was the remote trigger using Apple Watch and/or the phone app. I was hoping in a training setting outside of the home, while not using the automated triggering, it would be a good way to correct. Unfortunately I consistently have issues with connectivity even when very close to the dog. I understand distance limitations with bluetooth but it goes beyond that. After the initial connection to the collar, you have to maintain close proximity to the collar or it disconnects. After it disconnects, it doesn't always reconnect by itself. This was frustrating when I would go to use the watch to correct and it wouldn't be connected to the collar. This also happens with the phone app. There have been times when I had the app open and switch to another app and when I go back, it has to reconnect. By the time the collar is reconnected, it is too late for correction. I really didn't think I would miss a remote as I have a preference toward using apps etc. but due to the issues I was having with the app, I wish there was an option to use a physical remote as an alternative option but after checking the website/store, this isn't available unless I buy another training collar, the T1S Pro. ... show more

So maybe it’s me??? The collar seems to disconnect every time I’m away with my phone. Coming home I have to reconnect it every time. That’s literally the only issue I have, but it’s also a major issue for me. I’d like the collar to remain on, even when my phone isn’t near by. If I leave my phone at home while on a walk, its not working. I’ve emailed the company, hopefully they’ll tell me did something working and how it can be fixed. ... show more

Update. 10-11-22 changed to five stars. The customer service is fantastic!! I was able to send the defective collar (that worked for three months) to them and they promptly sent me a new one. I will try it to make sure it works. I was able to speak with someone in there Oregon office he was very helpful. Thank you Dr Trainer. Love this product and able to have a record of when my dog barks when I’m not home. I am contacting the company, I am disappointed that mine has stopped recognizing any sounds and therefore will not activate. It will activate with the app only, which isn’t helpful when not home. I have had it 3 months but only use it at night. Hopefully Dr Train will get back to me and work out an exchange. When it was working it was great. I recorded my voice to tell my dog to stop barking and then next step could choose vibrate and next shock. I never needed the shock it worked with the voice recording and vibrate. ... show more

So we had a collar that had a remote and we had great luck with it. It changed our dogs behavior immediately. However, we have recently been having quite a bit of problems with the remote working so in came this one. This collar doesn't come with a remote rather works off an app on a phone or other device. I wasn't sure how we would feel about this because our old remote just sat by the door and we could grab it on the way out if needed. Since the old remote corrected their behavior so well we don't really need to take the remote out everytime so this being on an app on the phone hasn't bothered us at all. The app part is so easy to use and hook up to the collar. I also really like how customizable the app is. You can set how hard it shocks, vibrates and how loud it sounds off. There are many soundd to pick from and they have some good siren ones to alert the dogs. You can also record your voice to say whatever you would to your dog when they are misbehaving. We recorded ours to say go home. We originally bought a collar set for our dogs because they wander and eat stuff the shouldn't in the yard. This collar is definitely aimed more towards correcting barking which isn't a big issue for us, but because the app is so user friendly and customizable we are able to adjust it to our needs. The barking part of the app is set at an automatic setting where it beeps, vibrates, and shocks and continues to get more intense until the animal stops barking. If you don't like the factory setting you can go in and change them. When using for the barking aspect, you do not need the remote to set it off. As soon as the dog barks and the collar picks up the sound decibels set, it will start to go off. We had ours at 100 and it was windy out and the wind whistled just enough to set it off. So, we bumped ours up to the highest setting. So, you might want to play around with that since it can be sensitive. You can also pause the barking part all together and you can pick how many hours up to 24 you want it paused for. It would be nice to just turn that part off and on like you can with the other settings, but at least it can be suspended. The app also gives you a summary of how it was used on your animal each day. It comes with a charging cable and a piece to test that the shock is working by lighting up. Very easy to use and test out. The collar itself is nylon with a plastic clasp. It isn't super heavy duty, but definitely not cheap. It can expand and contrast very well to fit a variety of sizes. Our guys are 100 pounds and we can still make the collar bigger if needed. It has metal rivets in it by the mechanism part to hold that on and in place better. The mechanism part that does all the work sits very well on our dogs and is small and compact but feels very well made. They do recommend that you do not leave the collar on at all times. So, I was a little leary about all the set up before going outside like putting it on, turning it on, getting the app going, but because we use it mainly when we are outside for extended periods of time with the dogs it hasn't been a hassle. We have had the collar for a few weeks now to really get a feel for it and am pleased with how it works so far. ... show more

I just got 1yr old husky, she started barking after a week, got this n just with the settings saying "No" when she barks, is enough for her! The only thing is that if u have the trigger sensitivity too low and u make noise around the collar it goes off but adjusting the level in the app fixed that!! No complaints, she has not barked once since she tasted the vibration!! Well worth the money!! 💯💯 ... show more
