  • So far so good
Size: 9 Color: Black/Black
I ordered the black on black In my size, a 9 despite the reviews saying they ran big because I have a high instep so I need a high toe box. I received them two days after placing the order with my prime membership. So far I only wore them a few minutes to try them on but as far as I can tell they fit very well, I can wiggle my toes and spread them out, and they don't feel tight accross the top of my foot like my other work boots. They're also super light on the feet which is nice. They seem to be great quality material and constructed well. They should be durable and last a long time. Will post updates as time progresses. ... show more

  • LOVE!
Size: 9 Color: Black Extra Tough 50/50+ajax
Awesome boots! So cute. Had to return and size up to accommodate insoles because I’m going to be wearing these to a concert, but that did the trick! UPDATE: When I sized up, I accidentally bought the wrong color way. I thought I was ordering the same ones, but ordered the black on black instead. Those ones are not cute. They are completely all black so when you’re wearing them, they look like work boots rather than fashionable combat boots. The stitching around the sole is even black. So no cute accents at all. Had to return the second pair. I bought these in the light cream color instead and they are perfect. I changed out the yellow/butter colored laces for light blue laces and they look adorable. ... show more

  • Get them , they're worth it !
Size: 10 Color: Black/Black
The media could not be loaded. I wear a size 10 , you will have a finger and 1/2 worth of space upfront by the toes. I feel that's enough of space because I can spread my toes out. The shoe is heavy and as a real solid sole. No imperfections at all . Jet black color. Looks more like a teenis shoe boot which makes the shoe more casual looking . Real easy to out on just pull the tab in the back to help guide your feet inside the shoe. Shoe does squeak, idk if that will go away. Shoe may hurt for a week or so untill it gets broken into. Again I wear mens 10 and women size 11 or 10 1/2 I feel this size 10 is perfect no complaints. Packaging came in a brown box and came individually wrapped in tissue paper and brown paper. With tissue paper inside each shoe as well. I recommend because it seems like the shoe will last a few years. Ankle support amazing very stiff so your ankle won't noble around . Comfortable along the sides of my feet doesn't feel like I will get splinters or burns . Make a L with you thumb and pointer finger, place pointer finger to the ground. That's how far the shoe comes up your leg where your thumb stops. Easy cleaning just wipe them down . ... show more

  • Pain and Pleasure
Size: 8 Color: Black Extra Tough 50/50+ajax
Size 8, true to size. I have quite a Large collection of Docs. These are more for everyday wear. They did well in the snow. Not the best on ice but it's ice... ice is slippery. They did soak up some water. Having the doc marten name you're garenteed a tough shoe but I'd still suggest a rain guard spray. Mud gets stuck in the Large grooves so tap your feet before you walk inside your home or establishments, you heathen. Now here comes the OH NO part. As shown in photos, the tough material that's around the back of ankle pinches your heel if you walk on uneven ground or at any time really. Thick socks help alleviate this. I'm satisfied overall. What's a Lil pain to make you feel ALIVE. ... show more

  • Great boots!
Size: 9 Color: Black/Black
They're pretty awesome. Very comfortable, didn't even need to be broken in! I usually wear a size 10, based on reviews, I sized down and ordered a 9. Definitely the right choice. Totally recommend!

  • So good, I bought them twice (but I had to buy them twice)
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black
Loved these boots so much I bought them again - overall, 4.5 stars. The good: - Stylish casual boots. They're clunky and big in the best of ways; if this isn't for you, don't get them. - These worked for hiking, daily wear, and and extremely casual work environment, although I also wore them with a blazer for a business casual look several times. - Lace to fit tightly. - Incredibly comfortable. - Ankle support without being obvious. The initial few wears can be stiff around the ankles; recommend wearing higher socks (hiking height) to protect your skin until the boots soften a bit. This is worth it for the stabilization factor while hiking or walking over uneven terrain. - More sole support than expected. I can and have stood for hours in these boots. I can and have walked for miles as well, including a multi-hotel conference in Las Vegas. No problem, even though I usually need more arch support. - I don't know whether they're specifically waterproof, but they seem to be at least water resilient. I'd come out of a hike with dry feet when my companion was soaked. - Worth the cost - I got my money's worth. - Wore these near daily, and the boots held up very well until they didn't. The less great: - Wear slightly higher (ankle-height) socks to avoid blisters just above the heel on your Achilles tendon. This need did not go away for me. You can't wear tiny, thin socks and survive in these boots without some pain. It was fine with a good pair of thick running socks that had a fabric tab in the back. I had to purchase these socks, so that was a little annoying. - They squeak. This does not go away, but it does get better. - These boots repelled dust and mud for eight months of constant wear. At the eight month mark, I wore these to a dusty Renaissance festival, and they failed to fully recover. Prior to that, I kept getting asked if I had new boots. - At the eight month mark, the sole on the side also began to slightly separate from the fabric slightly on one boot, right where your foot bends at the toes. I kept my original pair for another four months - wearing them slightly less - and it didn't get worse, so they held up fairly well. - While I'm pretty tough on boots overall, eight months (versus several years) is quite early to have issues with Doc Martens. Extended lifespan is why I switched from Army surplus to Doc Martens years ago. I assume it's because of the fabric material versus leather, but as mentioned, whatever this fabric is, it's quite resilient overall. The cost is also lower on these, so the value is still quite good, considering how much I wore them. Total time elapsed without showing signs of visible wear with near-daily use: eight months. Total time elapsed before purchasing pair number two: one year. TLDR; so good I bought them twice - but I had to buy them twice. ... show more
