Description

The 5-eye Church Monkey Vintage Smooth Boot is from our Archive Collection. Created by looking into Dr. Martens archive for design inspiration, this style has been replicated to look as it was when first manufactured. The specification on leather, color and method of manufacture is precise. More traditional biscuit-backed leather has been used, color-matched to archive samples that came out of the factory in the earlier days of Dr. Martens. Laces are flat and cotton, exact copies of the original versions found.

Love these monkey church boots. They look awesome and give me about 2 inches in height. From the side the coloring hides that they are platform boots as well. I wear a 9.5-10 US ans have wide feet. The 9 brand size fits. I did add some heel pads as I wore them for a 1 mile walk out of the box and ended up with blisters on the heels. I normally wear a women's size 8-8.5. I ordered a US L 8 as they didn't have half sizes. That was WAY too big. US L 7 fit perfectly. Keep in mind they will stretch a bit as you break them in. Love the style, great fit however I haven't even had these a month, have worn them MAYBE five times and just to my desk job to break them in and the coating? Is already flaking away. You used to be able to wear docs for YEARS. They were quality shoes, they could take the wear and tear of actual working not just walking around an office.
