Got these a few days before backpacking Ireland I would NOT recommend that. Break these thing in for a month before doing any kind of trip. For all That is holy do not wear these on an airplane till they are broken in. After that they are solid!! I'm obsessed with these boots. I've always loved the brand, but especially having non-slips ones have been AMAZING. I work as a bartender in a really high-volume venue. There are a lot of spills, chemicals, sanitizers, you name it. Last night I trudged through spilled ranch and later on, spilled macaroni and cheese. These boots bear it all and help prevent slips in this sort of environment. I also wear them often in the snow/ice, definitely helpful! Not only do they keep my feet safe, dry, and warm in all of the things, but they're also really comfortable. I'm used to Dr. Marten's taking awhile to break in, but these only took a day or so before they felt natural. I was pleasantly surprised! The material they're made of make it EXTREMELY easy to wipe and clean them up, especially not having to deal with laces. They're tight on the ankles, which is just fine for the shape of my body/legs/feet. But if you have wider calves or feet, I'd recommend looking into another variation of these instead. ... show more

Docs speak for themselves I’ve never been let down by them but it’s foreshore going to take some time breaking them in they feel like I’m wearing solid stone thankfully I have an 8 hour shift today:’) It’s been two months and they are so comfortable 3 hours in to my shift it felt like I was walking on clouds I cannot express it enough just get them they are soaked in kitchen grease, hot, cold water and everything still look brand new I go fishing in these boots as well and Houston swamp water disintegrates anything it touches ... show more

normally size 8, so i went with women's size 7. bought these for my 10 hr kitchen shifts and they're so pretty but not the comfiest. have had them for 3 weeks now and still breaking them in. i have wide feet and an average arch. at the end of my work day my joints where my big toe and pinky toe meet my foot are sore from pressing up against the hard waterproof pleather material. easy to clean exterior though the insoles are ok, im replacing them. the slip resistance is decent but being in a kitchen is difficult because food scraps lodge tightly between the fine tread. i have make sure i clean them so i dont slip as the floors are often wet, soapy, and/or greasy. provides good support and shock absorption because my knees, ankles and back are good at the end of the day. just a bit tight width wise, would be perfect for someone w narrow feet. i was buying these instead of the blundstone soft toe work boots, kinda wish i had paid the extra $50 for those. ... show more

I always wanted my own pair of Chelsea boots so I brought them as an early Christmas gift to myself. Stylish and chic. They have a non-slip rubber bottom and can easily slip in but you might need a hand to get them off your feet. I personally went a size up because it gives my toes a bit of wiggle room since I’m on my feet all day. I haven’t worn them on a rainy day but I think it can manage muddy terrain or puddles of water when the time is right. The two cons I found are rough edges around the opening of the boots that might scratch your ankles and they are a bit heavy ( weight one pound each per shoe ). I recommend wearing thick socks with these boots. It takes some time to break-in but I think it’s worth it. ... show more

Very comfortable after the first two days of breaking them in. Very tight but now they are formed to my feet and easy to put on. The yellow tag on the back is large and helpful to pull on. The tread grip of the soles is awesome when working in a shop setting.
