The 1460 Mono is made with highly durable leather and sits on an AirWair sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. These are my first pair of Docs and I'm sooo happy with them, they have become my eveyday shoe--the height of the boot and them being completely black make it so they go with just about everything. Boots were very stiff when they arrived, as expected--conditionedt the leather right away and sat them in front of the heater overnight then wore for a couple weeks with thick socks, now they're super comfortable. I wear a size US Womens 8 in boots and sized down to US7 in these, they fit perfectly. ... show more

Break-in period was rough and I got unbearable blisters. I recommend going a half-size up because the toe is uncomfortably narrow. I bought them to work in but after only two years the soles are worn completely smooth and gripless. The vinyl the soles are made out of is really not great quality, I was hoping they'd last me twice as long. Id recommend buying from a better quality brand, they literally don't make them like they used to. ... show more

These were a great fit but the insoles were very, very thin and uncomfortable. It was a lot like walking barefoot on an unforgiving flat surface. The shoes, however are extremely nice and durable.
