I have been using these Downy Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster Beads, Fresh Scent, 24 oz for many years and they have become one of my favorite laundry products. I continue to purchase them because they consistently keep my clothes, towels, and bedding smelling fresh and clean long after washing. The scent is very pleasant, not too overpowering, and gives laundry that freshly washed smell that lasts for days, sometimes even weeks when stored in drawers or closets. One of the things I like most about this product is how easy it is to use. I simply pour the beads directly into the washing machine before adding clothes, and they work great alongside my regular detergent and fabric softener. I have used both the Fresh scent and other varieties over the years, but I always find myself coming back to this one because it smells clean and refreshing without being too strong. In the past, I did occasionally have issues with the beads not dissolving completely, especially when I washed very large or overloaded laundry loads. I would sometimes notice leftover beads stuck to clothing or inside the washer. After experimenting a bit, I found that using slightly smaller loads solved the issue almost entirely. Since making that adjustment, the beads dissolve much better and I have had no major problems. I also make sure to place the beads in the drum before adding clothes, which seems to help as well. Another reason I continue to buy this product is because a little goes a long way. You can easily control how much scent you want by adjusting the amount of beads you use, making the container last quite a while. I especially enjoy using them on towels, blankets, workout clothes, and bedding because they help keep everything smelling extra fresh between washes. Overall, I have had a very positive experience with Downy Unstopables over the years. Despite the minor dissolving issue I experienced in the past, which was easily fixed by washing smaller loads, the product has worked extremely well for me. The long-lasting scent, ease of use, and consistent performance make it a product I continue to repurchase and recommend to others looking for a reliable laundry scent booster.

I LOVE the smell of these beads, I don't often like to use things like this because the scents but I love this one. It makes the laundry smell fantastic, I especially love using them for blankets and towels. You really don't need to use a lot to make the laundry smell good so it lasts a long time. This stuff is soooooo amazing, I can't believe it took so long to convince my hunny it was a good idea to try it! He finally agreed, and when he put hus clothes on after, he couldn't stop sniffing them! They smelled so dang good!! He works in an industrial plant, and his clothes (and he) come home smelling awful. This is an absolute game-changer in the laundry business. He's hooked after 1 wash. Add a little, add a lot? Oh, yeah. It's so easy to use, it adds nothing to the wash. I just followed the directions, and wham, bam, thank you Downy! I think his clothes actually came out softer too. We got the 30oz bottle, and it was a great value for that size--excellent deal, best value for the money. And it's the best price here vs anywhere else. I can't wait to do my towels and the rest of the laundry! And I use free & clear and very lightly scented laundry detergent for everything else in the house, btw, cuz I'm allergic to practically everything, so I'm certain this will be such a nice change for freshening up the feel of the house. Even the stinky man t-shirts smell nice with this product. It really works and lasts on sheets and towels as well. Fabric softener is not recommended for them, so this is a great alternative to the Downy softener.

Let me save you the time & sneezes. I'm someone who is not sensory sensitive to smells unless they're "I just walked into the perfum department at Neiman Marcus" strong. I crave good smelling things and prefer natural-smelling things, less chemically-smelling, food smelling, or sugary/fruity concoctions. Oakmoss is one of my #1 all time favorite scents. Here's what you need to know. 1. If you like laundry scent beads, this is FANTASTIC. If you don't, or are unconvinced, then skip it. There's not much in between. 2. This says rose & oakmoss - no rose lingers whatsosever. If you love oakmoss, you're really going to love this. If you're not familiar with oakmoss, you're probably going to love this. It settles into this very natural, subtle, comforting smell that's like the scent equivalent of the feeling of curling up on a genuine leather couch with a good book that smells of paper and wood and a faint hint of vanilla under a wool blanket as the season is getting ready to turn to fall. It's a comfort smell. The kind that will stick in your mind and always remind you of home or whatever you wash these with. 3. This has HEAVY scent throw and linger power. ONLY USE ONE TEASPOON. I repeat, ONLY USE ONE TEASPOON. I've tried with half, and it's faint. I've tried with one, it's perfect. I've tried 2 teaspoons, and whatever you wash with it will have a 3-5 foot scent throw-power. I washed a jacket with it and hung it on the coat rack to dry and forgot about it. For a half a day, every time I walked by the hallway 4 feet away, I kept smelling this really good scent and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Till I went to hang up the jacket and realized it was the laundry scent beads that had left the fantastic although strong scent on it. Next time I washed a load, did just one teaspoon or a little less (3/4 teaspoon if we're being precise), and it was perfect. You could smell it on the laundry, but not beyond it. 4. Because of #2, I use these only with towels, rugs, and certain favorite jackets and scarves. I always want to associate these things with one, comforting scent and vice versa so it reminds me of home and smelling it feels like a hug. I use a separate scent bead for sheets (Light Ocean or whatever that Downy one is) to generate a distinct association with the feeling of burrowing down into a comforing bed and relaxing.
