I searched and searched for this perfect plate. Nothing slips off of it because of the deep rim. Plus the flat portion is maximized so it has more flat surface area. These bowls are perfect for pasta dishes. We all have plates but sometimes a dish needs to have side walls like linguini and clam sauce, chicken marsala, and even pasta with sauce. A flat plate just can not hold the liquid of the dish prepared. These plates/bowls are perfect. You get 4, they are white ceramic with a nice design on the side edges. Best purchase ever! They are great for dinner, used them for giant dinner salad, soup, even pasta. I like that your bowl holds everything in place and nothing wants to slide off, yet roomy enough to keep you food divided from each other. We use them everyday, highly recommend.

I just moved into a new apartment and have been excited (and equally stressed) about getting new apartment items. I got these plates because I really liked the design in contrast to the regular flat plates I normally use. I have been keeping an eye on the tracking ever since I got it and since my new place is a 5min. drive from my job, I immediately got to my apartment as soon as I got my plate-bowls, I just went ham on the unboxing. Let me tell you, they are GORGEOUS and arrived intact! I like to wash my pots, pans, plates, eating utensils before using them (since they arrived from tbe box), and I did notice black specks of paint? under one of the plate-bowl (bowlates? blates?) but it’s not a major issue (since it’s underneath).
