Bought it for large salads and it's the right size and shape. It's a bowl. It seems to be well made.

We were looking for nice, easy to hold/clean and could hold a good amount of salad (as a meal). These bowls serve that function. Most "salad" bowls once filled can be difficult to mix up the ingredients or dressings (and anything on the top tends to fall out). This bowl allows you to mix up a good po
rtion of salad ingredients. If you like big salads with lots of items, this bowl can handle it. With lots of room to spare to mix/stir. The design is sturdy, not overly heavy and still able to hold in your hand while you eat. Although, a table top or tray works best. They work so well, I am now buying a second pair. Cheers!

The Dowan bowls are a great value. They are the perfect size for serving family style vegetables or for serving strawberries and blueberries. I use them for EVERYTHING.
Yes, I loved these sooooo much, I bought another pair. Doctors say 8 to 9 cups of salad a day. This is the perfect size for a LARGE salad. I top it with black olives, green olives, grape tomatoes, ciliegine mozzarella, green onion, cut up provolone cheese, cut up hard salami, then I top it all with j
uice from a fresh lemon and some EVOO, salt and pepper. To die for. I also brown some chicken breast chunks, pour marinara on top, then provolone melted on top of that. I slide it from the frying pan, right into my bowl. I eat my chili with rice, soup, and EVERYTHING from these bowls. They make great serving bowls if I ever have someone over for dinner. Oh! And 50 steamed clams fit right in this bowl. Looks impressive!

A basically perfect basic bowl
If you eat ramen, large salads, or just want a bigger single serving of soup or pasta, this is the bowl for you. It comes in a set of two so you and your significant other or house mate can enjoy a 64oz meal together at roughly half the price. Most 60oz+ dishwasher and microwave safe bowls (not made
of plastic) cost between $20 and $30 dollars for a single bowl. While it would be nice if this set came in additional colors it is a very pleasing pure white. Easy to clean, distributes heat from the microwave well, and fits easily in a regular cabinet. Overall 5 stars, no complaints - would buy again.

Recently purchased these two 2 Qt. bowls. They arrived as advertised. They are heavy, sturdy bowls with a beautiful porcelain finish smooth as glass. I wanted a bowl that would not spill soup over the side when jostled. Most soup bowls have a flatter profile. This is plenty deep with no chance the li
quid will go over the sides. They are also perfect for a salad, you can mix and eat from the same bowl. I've used them in the microwave and you can easily remove the hot soup bowl by hand because the liquid is not near the top which remains cool. We first purchased a set of these bowls more than two years ago and find that we use them almost everyday. My husband suggested that that it would be useful to have a couple more. I'm happy that I the exact same bowls are still available, so we now have four.
