As I write this review there is an Amazon "Lightning Deal" going on..$25.49 ($5 off) ($4.24 ea) which is a great deal. I bought mine using the "used but like new" option for $20.49 ($3.41 ea). The cups come very well packed in a styrofoam cubby gig that Rocks !! On my packaging the top 1/2 inch thick sheet of foam was cracked (broken into several pieces). There was no sign of the cups ever being used...But even if there was, I have a dishwasher that has the "Sani Clean" and "Sani Rinse" options (almost sterilization mode). If drinking or eating after other people is a problem for you...you may want to avoid restaurants (think about it). Even at $30 ($5 ea) these cups are a great deal...The handle is what makes them so nice...it is roomy and comfortable...I have "other" 20 oz cups and the handle (teardrop shape) cramps my hand. The weight is perfect...not too heavy for a 20 oz cup. The glazing is even and perfect also (no light wavy areas)....It's a very nice coffee cup.

These mugs are well made with no imperfection or flaws evident in the porcelain. If you fancy a large cup of coffee, hot chocolate or tea, this is the mug for you. Lastly, the weight, thickness and flawless finish (quality) is a plus in reducing chips, cracks, discoloration and possible breakage. I recommend these mugs and I will be purchasing another set.

As I sit here drinking out of my new mug, I want to let consumers know I am enjoying my experience and am happy with this purchase. These are a nice weight and the drinking edge is the perfect thickness. The color isn't bright white and has a slight creamy beige color if that matters to you. The packaging was well thought out so that the mugs would arrive safe and unbroken.

I wanted big mugs to hold my double Keurig serving of my morning coffee. I was replacing 20 oz Chantal mugs that finally succumbed to 25 years of hard use. The Dowan mugs hold the double- dose of coffee with 1/2” of space to spare, which allows me to carry my coffee without sloshing it on the floor. BUT the walls of the mugs are double the thickness of my old mugs and they’re heavy when filled — heavy enough that my fingers hurt when carrying full mug from kitchen to desk one- handed. BUT the thicker mugs are sturdier — dropped one from about 5’ height onto wood floor and it survived without a crack or chip. BUT the mugs are so large they will not fit on the metal mug tree beside the coffee maker. BUT I’d buy them again if I need more mugs — unless Chantal fires up their kilns again.
