I have purchased so many air mattresses I was extremely skeptical about this one because of its not being very thick. I opened it up and it was ok to inflate, just did the CPR push on the internal bladder it uses to air it up. I struggle with my hip hurting when I sleep because I am a side sleeper and I was worried about this being painful to use. I used it this past weekend on the back of a utility trailer made of a wood floor. When I aired it up it aired up quickly and it seemed comfortable at about 3 inches thick but I had my doubts. I have used the really thick air mattresses before and by the end of the night the air cooled off and it was like it deflated because of the loss of volume of air. My wife and I slept on it for 2 nights and it was by far the most comfortable air mattress I have used in years and there was no loss of volume so it never acted like it deflated. The only draw back was the noise when you rolled over but it was tolerable. Great little mattress for the cost and I would highly recommend it.

Pros: I am 78 years young and this was pretty easy to inflate with the built in pump. It is lightweight. It inflates to very firm if needed. The pad fit in my mattress protector so it stays in place. It does not produce heat on my body. I have only slept on it two nights but I love the support and it has not lost air. Cons: I wish he pillow section inflated separately. I am not crazy about the pillow section.

It takes very little space, when deflated and when inflated. It is so thin that I can almost sit on it when I sleep in my SUV. This is important because every inch matters in such situation. I can't imagine having a typical old style inflatable mattress in a car. This one works very well. Because it is much thinner, it conforms to the shape of the car much easier than other mattresses that I have tried. Sleeping is very interesting. When you sit on it, it may go a bit too low, but when you lay down, the weight of the body spreads on it and it is as comfy as any other pad/mattress. When deflated it is about the size of my single inflatable pad. If you are backpacking with a partner, get it. I don't see the reason to carry two separate pads. I've got another one for my son.

The only essential function of this piece of crap is to hold air. It doesn’t! If you buy one of these, do yourself a favor and test it a few times before you actually need it. Make sure you do this in time to return it. I didn’t, so it’s just a waste of money. My advice would be to avoid this garbage and spend a little more and get something that works. TO THEIR CREDIT, THEY OFFERED A FULL REFUND. For this I am grateful. Maybe 99% of their mattresses are good and I got the one bad one in a hundred.

If your weight is more then 110 pounds I don't think it will work for you; that is, if you are going to use the individual to put a minor to a teenager whose weight is around 110 pounds, that's fine, it may not wake up on the floor. For my part, I weigh 200 pounds, it wasn't the best. It's a nice mattress and it doesn't need a pump to inflate. If you want it for your children, it's perfect.
