  • better than OEM (original product) BETTER THAN ORIGINAL PRODUCT
There is nothing to dislike/and the best thing is this product fit perfectly..and the thickness of the unit is thicker than the original on my ford suv. The original overflow res was thinner and that is where the coolant under pressure of the radiator caused the anti-freeze to slowly leak out.. Mind you finding the leak was months of looking.. finally found the leak in the side wall of the res. It looked like the old res was made in swirling mold...and where the swirls were, that is where the anti-freeze leaked out of. Great Buy for the money....there are lots of these units out there...so look for the cheapest one......because they are better made than the original. it comes with over-flow 6" hose and cap. keep the old clamps and mounting screws. you are WELCOME al ... show more

  • Super fast shipping and an exact fit!
Amazon Garage says this doesn't fit my '02 Tribute, but it's the exact model other stores sell. It came overnight - much, much faster than Amazon calculated. It was a perfect fit and extremely easy to install. PROTIP: other commenters have mentioned all the fluids running out when removing the old reservoir. To prevent this, take some duct tape and cut 4 small strips. As you disconnect the hoses, put the duct tape on end of hose and inlet to reservoir. Then your fluids don't spill. After the replacement is installed and hooked back to hoses, use a funnel and pour the contents from old reservoir into the new reservoir. I completed the repair in less than 10 minutes and I'm only a novice at best. ... show more

  • Good replacement
Looks the same as original and includes the water level switch and connectors as the original. If you are careful, you can do the whole job without spilling a single drop of fluid. However, I don’t recommend transferring every drop from the old reservoir as it probably has a lot of gunk in the bottom. ... show more

  • Perfecy fit for 2002 Mazda Tribute
Easy to install. All the attachment points are in right places. This one has a plug for the sensors, but your vehicle may or may not need that. Took all of 10 minutes to replace the old one. YouTube has videos on how to do it.

  • Works great, perfect fit
I've been dealing with a faulty coolant level code for years and was happy to find this exact replacement on Amazon. Two little bolts and the replacement was in within minutes. Been working great since without fault codes on my Mazda Tribute (Ford Escape) ever since.

  • Exact fit!
I installed this in a 2003 Ford Escape with the 3.0 V6 to replace the original tank which had started to leak at the middle seam. Three bolts out and back in with easy hose attachments. The whole job was about 1/2 for the replacement.

  • Did the job on Ford Escape, but had a recent early failure
Perfect fit on my 2001/02 Ford Escapes. Too bad the original floats fail so easily, but fortunately these replacement are available at a decent price and they are relatively easy to install with a few hand tools. Update Oct 5th, 2012: I've purchased 3 of these over the last 5 years (lots of old Ford Escapes in our family). Generally have had good luck but the most recent one purchased in June 2012 lasted 3 months and failed just like the original (reservoir float fails and indicates an erroneous low fluid condition). So I guess this is more proof that this Dorman product is really the original equipment. It fails the same way as the original. There is only a 30 day warranty from Amazon, so I'll be buying another of these. As far as I can tell Dorman is the only source so it will be another one. But as I indicated, I've had good luck twice before. ... show more

  • Nice replacement part.
Exact replacement for my 2002 Ford Escape and sturdy looking product. Don't pay an auto shop $300 when you ca do thus yourself for less than $50 at home. Took about 20 minutes to swap out.
