Exactly what I wanted! I would have rated it a 5 if it weren’t for some of the cons below: Pros: -all pieces were there and in perfect condition -drawers slide easily and it was so nice to have a door that didn’t need hinges!! -I was able to put it together myself -Delivery was on time and I’m so glad I paid to have it hauled into my room of choice. The guys were very professional -The island itself is very sturdy Cons: -1 piece would only fit in backwards, which means the shelving holes do not line up. I will need to drill a few more holes or find a 3m command product to make the shelves sturdy - It took 3 hours to put together by myself - The bolts for the stools were a little too big for the holes which made it very difficult to screw them in with the little Allen wrench screwdriver it came with - The stools seats are put on by “screws that create their own holes.” The directions said not to use power tools but the electric screwdriver came out because those screws were not creating holes by hand. I love the look of this and, once it was put together, I’d give it 5 stars. The only issue was with assembly: the cam screws and cam locks were struggling to work the right way. The locks weren’t turning a full 1/2 turn like they should so the whole thing wasn’t secure enough to fit everything together like it should. I read on here that someone suggested loosening the cam screws a little so they would be longer and easier for the cam lock to grab hold of and that worked!!! I had unassembled it after I was 7 or 8 steps in and started over, and this strategy worked. I skipped the screw/lock/wood dowel step for the middle section into the base because it was off a little, but that didn’t make a structural difference since it was connected at all four corners. We love it and glad I didn’t quit after the first experience of the assembly being tricky. Long story short, loosen your cam screws for length if the lock won’t turn! ... show more

Assembly was a pain.. my dad and niece spent hours putting it together and then had to stop and come back the following day. But I absolutely love this island. The top is wood and we didn’t bolt it down because I’ll eventually change it to a granite top. It fits the space between the fridge and sink perfectly. I like that I can push it forward or back to sweep underneath. I recommend. ... show more

Assembly was a moderate difficulty. Not all the pieces were labeled, but most were. Our cam locks were terrible, still even assembled not fitting tight in the spaces... they fall out of the door is opened too quickly. The piece is beautiful. Assembly wasn’t the greatest some of the screws that lock into cam lock were bent and defective (pictures). It is sturdy and spacious and does the job but the quality of the hardware was compromised making our piece insufficient. Stools are great. It will work but may not last forever due to the issues with hardware compromising the structure. ... show more

The island for the most part is what I expected. It's not the highest quality, but for the price I would consider it still a good deal. It took about 2 months to get here, but the delivery itself was very smooth. The biggest issue I have is with the color of the counter top. The picture made it appear to be a much darker wood than it truly is. For that reason it didn't get a higher rating, but overall fairly satisfied. ... show more

    • Good piece, but low price shows in fit and finish
Good unit offering lots of counter space and storage. Stools seem pretty sturdy. Island itself feel like it will hold up over time structurally. Installation was easy, and the bolts, dowels, and screws came arranged nicely to keep tabs on what is what. Finish isn't particularly high quality, however. The paint didn't seem to have made its way into several crevices and styling details so while it looks fine from a distance close inspection shows an inferior fit and finish. A visual in the instructions (step 7 i believe) was misleading and had me installing the middle partition between the door and shelves backwards, and the shelves didn't line up right. I had to flip the unit over, disassemble the base, flip the board around, and put it all back together. Despite my best efforts i scuffed the top so now its day two of owning it and the top has a permanent scuff which could have been avoided with better instructions. I think it's simply a case of you get what you pay for. Not very expensive so i can look past the faults. ... show more

Very happy with this piece, the color of wood is more grey than anything (hardware is dark grey too), which we appreciated for our kitchen. Put it together myself in 2.5 hours. Directions don't tell you to put wood glue on the dowels FYI, you should though. Did have a quick fix that needed attention, the holes on one side for the shelves were off by about 1.5" had to drill my own holes and fill in theirs with silicone chaulk (extra 10 minutes of work and need of a drill - hopefully just an anomaly). Overall, high quality product, sturdy, heavy, lots of nice little touches for construction & presentation. Price was fantastic for the product. ... show more
