I love the color, the size, the quality and all the pockets. The only thing I dislike is the magnetic closure. If you put all your stuff in it, it may or may not close. I would rather have a zipper closure on the top in case it dumps over in the car. I also purchased a wallet to match. I love them both. Merry Christmas to me🌲

This Dooney & Bourke leather bag is both beautiful and functional. It weighs about 33.5 oz (I checked with a food scale), which was important to me because I don’t like carrying heavy bags that get even heavier when I add my essentials. Unlike some of my other Dooney bags that feel heavy from the start, this one is surprisingly light for its size. The 11-inch strap drop makes it comfortable and easy to slip on and off the shoulder. I love the protective feet at the bottom, which help keep it clean when I set it down. The structured design means it stands up on its own and doesn’t flop over. The red leather with brown trim is gorgeous, and the stitching is well done. The gold hardware feels solid and high-quality. Inside, there’s a spacious main compartment with a zippered pocket and an open pocket on one side, plus two open pockets on the other, and even a key clasp. It has a magnetic clasp to close. There also is an outside zippered pocket that fits my iPhone perfectly. If you’re looking for a large, well-made bag, this is a great option. I can fit all my usual items and my Surface laptop with room to spare. It also has a dust cover and tassle. I'm not a huge fan of the tassle and it's easily removable.

I DO NOT HATE THE PURSE BUT COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO OWNS 3 DOONEY BURKES ALREADY IT FEELS CHEAP. I WANTED TO LOVE IT BUT ITS BIGGER THEN EXSPECTED AND DEFINITELY DOESNT FEEL HIGH QUALITY. LOVE THE COLOR! MATERIAL FEELS FAKE!

I have a number of top-quality handbags in my collection, but I've never owned a Dooney & Bourke, until now. And as the saying goes, better late than never! I am extremely impressed by this bag. The attention to detail is evident everywhere, even with the magnet closures covered in leather! The stitching is impeccable. The leather strap, tassels, and edge reinforcements are of the highest quality. The zippered outside pocket is nicely sized and perfect for a cell phone or other items you want to be able to get to easily and quickly. The inside of the bag is large, and the pockets on both sides are functional and useful. The only downside (if you'd call it that) to finally owing a Dooney & Bourke, is that now I want another one (maybe two?)!

I jumped at this affordable chance to try my first-ever Dooney & Bourke bag, and this one's certainly capacious enough to tote everything I need when schlepping around the big city all day...but once I'd given it a spin for even just a few days, I could understand why the shunted this model over to a clearance sale price on Amazon within mere months of its having been added to the Dooney & Bourke line up. The thick strap might be eye catching but it's pretty much a loser in terms of function: it's simply too wide to stay comfortably in place on a woman's shoulder (and the length is not at all adjustable - its detailing is all just for show, not function (In another time, this would be called the dumb blonde of pocketbooks.) Aside from restyling the shoulder strap to better fit & function with the human form, I'm also disappointed with this color combination: the red pebble grain leather makes a strong statement, but does not pair well with this washed out medium brown accent color for straps and tassels. These two concern are annoying on a constant daily basis so my first-ever Dooney & Burke bag has been a mixed blessing: while the rest of the bag's shape & function is very well thought out and executed, the color combo's not ideal and the strap REALLY needs an overhaul by the design team before they reissue: NO woman I know would pay good money to play tug of war with her pocketbook strap all day long. This bag was brought to market prematurely and is on clearance sale for a reason: there are still some kinks in the design and neither the strap function nor this color combination are up to snuff - they simply doesn't have the makings of a truly classic, timeless & thoughtfully designed go-to handbag from Dooney & Bourke.
