The media could not be loaded. The main reason I wanted to try this phone was the camera. I take a lot of pictures of my kids, especially during the messy moments when they play outside or run through the house. The camera on this phone surprised me with how well it handled those fast movements. The shots came out clear more often than not, even when the kids refused to stand still. I also enjoyed using the different camera modes. I’m not a technical person, so I liked that the modes were simple to switch between. The portrait setting gave a soft look that I used during a small family gathering. The night mode helped during an evening walk when the sun had just dipped behind the houses. I didn’t expect those photos to look that clear, but they turned out nice enough to keep. Video recording was smooth too. I took a short clip of my daughter practicing her bracelet-making, and it captured the small details of her hands moving. I liked how steady the picture looked. I didn’t have to do anything special—just held the phone and tapped record. The front camera came in handy for quick selfies with the kids. I’m usually not a fan of selfies because they tend to wash out my face, but this camera gave a natural look. It didn’t over-brighten the picture or make it look too edited. It captured us the way we looked in the moment, which I appreciated.
