    • High quality but of questionable utility
Ever since I saw mini toolboxes come out around Black Friday of 2024, I wanted one. I have a lot of tools, so I even convinced myself I needed one. And this one is well constructed; it functions well for what it is. The drawers are smooth although when I pull them out they tend to come out all the way and take a bit of effort to get back into the right slot. However, as soon as I had one in hand and realized the weight of it, it just seemed like overkill. These small toolboxes really can't hold that much. The top drawer fits maybe 5 full size screwdrivers. The top bin, maybe a bunch of screws or nails. The bottom drawer is too small to fit power tools except maybe a small rotary tool. That really doesn't do that much to tame my tool collection. Honestly, I think a plastic bin or cloth tool bag would have been more portable and stored the same tools just as well. Since tools are themselves heavy, it makes sense to buy a larger metal toolbox in the same style to organize and store a whole bunch of them. But I think if I'd have held one of these in hand and considered the miniscule storage capabilities before ordering, I would have realized the lack of real utility in a metal toolbox this small, and then I would have gone for either a larger metal toolbox or a rolling toolbox or a toolbag. Plus if I tried to keep this in my car, the drawers wouldn't stay shut; they don't have a magnetic catch to encourage them to stay in the closed position. So even though I think this toolbox is well made, to be honest I cannot recommend it unless you have actually held one in hand and still feel it offers the utility you are looking for. My rating reflects the fact that the toolbox is everything wonderful it claims to be in the product description, but that I'm not personally finding it as useful as I had hoped. ... show more

You can hear that it doesn't slide smoothly, but otherwise it's a great place to store things on my desk. Highly recommended. Great conversation starter too!

A lot of people got this without even knowing what they were getting, or knowing the show at all. This is a "cute" idea. To have a "tool box looking" storage in your desk. Is not really functional. is not really for tools, duh. Its like when you get those tinny plastic trash can miniature of the big ones? it does not have a real use, its just a cute looking one. Anyway, this may work as a tool box for like small screw drivers and a couple of pliers. or like a "soldering station stuff" or "fixing phone station" kind of thing. This is not intended for a real mechanic tools box, at all. If you go it thinking of that you go the idea wrong from the day 1. The storage capacity is none :D the value for the money is none too, you are paying for a brand, and a "cuteness". The build quality is ok, paint finish, thinness of the metal, etc. But since is not meant for holding weight the drawers has no bearing sliding or anything, is just like a normal old school drawer, and that make it bad. They move a lot opening and closing and feels really cheap. I know. is decorative. but for the price range and representing Donut, should be better for sure. If you are here looking for an usable tool box, you are looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for a cool decoration for your desk and happens that you love the show, in that context, makes totally sense ... show more

    • Bottom drawer can pull out all the way or over power the magnet when tilted and moved too much
This is pretty cool little tool box that I find helpful for organizing smaller and more compact items. I like how you can lift the lid and get a little extra storage on top, but it does make it less useful for stacking. The two drawers work pretty much as expected, but the bottom drawer kept popping all the way out on me, if it was just angled to the side slightly. The magnets grip the doors in pretty well, but when I tilted it with the doors down they would pop out if I shook it a little and without anything in the drawers. The top drawer kind of drags a little on the way out, but the bottom drawer comes out a little smoother. ... show more

I use my this for a small workbench I have in the basement. It's great for keeping an assortment of small tools organized and in one place. It doesn't hold the big screwdrivers or other big items but works great to hold a variety of little items. Construction is quite nice I like how it's all metal. Great little toolbox! ... show more

This is a terrific, little tool box. As the company says, it is an ideal organizer for screws, bolts, small tools, or even office supplies. It is high quality. The two sliding magnetic catch drawers work well as does the top storage area.
