Description

The toughest ultralight survival tent you’ll find anywhere – guaranteed. Designed for hikers and outdoor adventurers, the DDITW PRO Ultralight Survival Tent provides year-round protection for 2 adults from harsh weather in any season. Other emergency shelters are made flimsy and cheap for one time use. We’ve tested and designed every detail with the highest quality materials available. Our HeatFlex mylar is stronger and more flexible than ordinary mylar to withstand harsh weather conditions and rocky terrain. With 425-lb strength paracord, reinforced tape seams, and a nylon storage sack, this tent is reusable and built to last. To Use: Simply run the paracord through the tent and tie the ends to a tree or bush. Anchor the corners down with rocks or gear, and climb inside. [Tip: If you can’t find anything to tie the rope to, the 80 sq ft of mylar makes a great emergency sleeping bag]. NASA-designed mylar reflects up to 90% heat to help conserve body heat in cold weather. [Tip: In hot conditions, turn the tent inside out to aim the silver side OUT to reflect heat away]. It is also waterproof and light reflective for countless survival uses year-round. For emergency use only. Does not replace your camping tent. Warning: Mylar is not fireproof. Keep away from heat and flames. Warning: Adult supervision is required due to strangulation and suffocation hazards. HeatFlex and Don’t Die In The Woods are trademarks of 50/50 Goods.

  • I haven't used this yet
Color: Woodland Camo
I wanted to write a review. I haven't used this tent yet. It's for emergency purposes. I'm sure it would do the job intended. But the fact that it's open on both ends is kind of not good. If it's raining, the rain would come in. If you're in the woods, and it's not raining the mosquitoes will get in. If it snows, that will get in and it will remain cold inside. So anyone purchasing this will need to figure out how to solve that problem if they purchase. But for an emergency shelter, something is better than nothing and you could always do a little bushcrafting to the back and add a fire to the front. ... show more

  • Expensive but high quality Bug Out Bag or Emergency Kit item.
Color: Woodland Camo
I own a DDitW emergency sleeping bag that is part of my daily hiking gear. So when I saw this on a Lightning Deal, I picked it up, and am happy I did. Hopefully like my bag I’ll never have to use it. The material seems sturdier than a normal emergency blanket, paracord is included, and it comes in a nice case. Only weighs a few ounces. Sure, it’s nothing but a tube of Mylar, but it’ll do the trick if called on. It’s not a tent, but heck, many through hikers sleep under a tarp, so it’ll provide reasonable protection from the elements if set up properly. Durability will of course be an issue if used often, but I hope to never use it. Overall a good buy and worth a few bucks more than generics. ... show more

  • Great emergency preparedness tent
Color: Army Green
I've not used mine. However, my brother used one of these and said it was a life saver, kept him dry & out of the elements! That's all I needed to hear. It's in my go bag now!

  • Not big enough for two.
Color: Woodland Camo
Small than portrayed, mylar is just as thin as all the other junk mylar blankets.

know what you are getting this is open on both ends and is for emergency use only. if you are trapped in the woods over night in the rain this would be a life saver. if you are going on a 5 day backpacking trip look for a real tent.

Ended up needing to use this one night after a thunderstorm held us up while we were on the wrong side of a ridge walk above tree line. When we finally descended, we decided to shelter and sleep for a few hours. I used my trekking poles to hold the head and foot section taut. Otherwise would’ve looked like the silver one on the right in my pic. Barely wide enough for me and my 60 pound dog, but it was wide enough. If it had been 2 actual people it would’ve been very very tight. Lightweight and durable. I did fold it up and put it back in the pouch but it probable only has one more use in it. ... show more
