Wow! I'm inpressed by this guitar quality! Very nice surprise from cheap one. It is completely flawless and mine came playeble right of the box without need of setup. This is the best quality cheap guitar I had ever. I did a quick test immediatly after receiving with my Boss Katana and everything is perfect. ... show more

  • Really great guitar!!
Color: Purplish Black Style: Gradient
Just bought this and I am really impressed. I played it straight out of the box for a couple of hours. No dead spots on the neck. The guitar is comfortable and the purple finish is great! Once the strings were stretched out it kept its tune. The neck is very comfortable… it’s not as flat as an Ibanez but it’s comfortable for my small hands. It’s a decent c shaped neck. I recorded with it once the stock strings were stretched and the pickups are solid! I dont feel the need to replace them. I may buy locking tuners when I restring it, but that’s it. I’ll probably have a setup done as well. I had heard about Donner’s excellent quality control and I can confirm it’s true. The guitar was great out of the box. It’s an excellent first guitar that new players won’t have to fight to master, and it’s great guitar for veteran players like myself as well! I got it for a great price but it’s still very affordable even when it’s not on sale. Highly recommended!! ... show more

  • Excellent for the price
Color: Gray Style: Solid
I was looking for an inexpensive guitar to put some MIDI pickups on an Boss Synth pedal. That pedal setup was expensive and I didn't want use it on my current guitars. So got this Donner. To my surprise Really plays well. Didn't need much of a setup (At least mine didn't). Looks good too. Thanks Amazon ... show more

  • Decent Guitar, Fair Quality for the Price, Trusted Brand, Gift Ready
Color: Purplish Black Style: Gradient
The Donner DMT-66 Electric Guitar is a solid choice for beginners looking to dive into playing without breaking the bank. The HSS pickup configuration offers a good range of tones, making it versatile for different music styles, and the ultra-thin C-shaped neck feels comfortable for extended practice sessions. The purplish black finish is attractive (not overly girly) and gives it a sleek look. It was nice to include a bag for storage and portability. That said, the build quality might not satisfy more experienced players, but that should be no surprise at this price point. It arrives in a very attractive and impressive manner, making it a great gift for a new learner. Overall, it’s a decent starter kit for those just getting into electric guitar. ... show more

  • Excellent Entry Level Guitar!
Color: Purplish Black Style: Gradient
This guitar is lovely. For the price it's amazing value. Very well built and very well finished. It's not a $1000 guitar by any means but it's a great guitar to start out with that plays very well. Great quality with great sound for the price. Some tuning is required but its minimal and very easy.

  • Good Beginner Guitar
Color: Gradient Blue Style: Gradient
This arrived very well packaged. The gig bag is more than basic with a little padding. so more than a dust cover. The guitar itself has excellent fit and finish. The body is a glossy gradient light blue and this is carried over to the headstock. The electronics work well. The switch is a board switch, so low end. The wiring and soldering are good enough. There is a green cap capacitor on the tone pot, so well done. The switch is a "board" switch, so functional but not robust. There is zero shielding. The pickups sound good enough for a beginner guitar in all five positions. And the switch and potentiometer knobs function smoothly. The tuners are basic but function fine. The guitar weighs 6.7 pounds, so pretty light. The scale length measures 25.5 inches, standard Fender scale. The nut measures 41.7mm and the fretboard radius measures between is 9.5 inches. The guitar set up out of the box was quite playable. The claw was set unevenly, but I only noticed that when I opened up the back compartment, so an easy fix. The trem block is thin and very basic, but it works okay. The neck was perfectly straight and that's how I set mine anyway. The action was a little high at 9 thousandths on the low E and 8 thousandths on the high E. Intonation was very close at the twelfth fret. So again, good enough right out of the box. And the nut was cut pretty well with only the Low E and A being a bit too high. Nothing a beginner would likely notice. I like the screw./ferrule neck attachment better than a neck plate, so kudos to Donner. Bu there is one area that sets this guitar apart, and for that matter most of the Donner guitars I've tried recently. The neck is wonderful. The carve is a very slim C. The fret work is really good with no high frets and no fret sprout whatsoever. The neck is most of what I pay attention to when trying a new guitar and this one is a winner. Overall, a very basic but good guitar, set up pretty well out of the box. And for around 150 dollars with the current coupon it is a good value for money. ... show more
