This is really a great piano! I am a professional pianist, and own the Roland RP107 and the Roland FP10. This is really a good quality replacement piano. It is stylish, good quality and plays like a real piano. The sound is excellent. I just picked up that the bass notes are very dominant, specially on good quality earphones, and the treble notes are very sharp. The notes are extremely well tuned right through the piano. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the sustain pedal has a 8 pin DIN plug. I like to play with a proper sustain pedal. Other than the sustain pedal the piano is definitely a 5 Star!

So far the keyboard has been nice and the weighted keys give it a piano feel. The stand is awful. I needed to buy a different stand as there was no way to secure the keyboard to the stand. After struggling to secure it, I came back here to read reviews and noted that others stated it was missing any sort of mounting bracket or ties. There were extra screws for the brackets but no actual brackets. Since this keyboard is for my child to learn on, I didn’t feel just sitting it on top of a wobbling stand was prudent. If I did it again I would purchase the dep 20 version without the stand.

Although this Dep20 Lite is no longer among top beginner pianos in under $300 price range, touch and sound seem okay for its price However I dropped my rating from 4 stars to 2 because I now realize that we received an older model in Sept 2024 with limited ports on the back. The one foot pedal connection is a non-standard mini 9 pin din female port. Without some electronic soldering, no adapter is available for the 6.35mm (1/4") plug on the Donner foot pedals purchased separately. Too late to return. (I will add a couple photos to help identify older vs newer models' by their back panels.) Other shortcomings: * The user guide as received is tiny print, poorly wriiten, minimal, without specs and the diagram of ports on back panel is misinformative. * The Donner Music app for android is weak. * The music rest for scores or tablet is flimsy. * The usb-a port for the thumbnail flash drive is unusable. In the piano we received, the USB-A socket is not in the center of the tight opening in the frame. Access for a standard USB-A plug is blocked by the piano frame. Perhaps one can play mp3 through the USB-B port or through BlueTooth?
