I wanted to add an SSD to my Dell XPS 8700 which I bought in 2014. My options were a 2.5 inch SSD, a PCIE NVMe SSD, or a mSATA SSD. Since my Dell XPS had an mSATA slot on the motherboard I decided to go with that. It was very easy to install. It worked fine. I cloned my Windows 7 hard drive to the SSD. I use these in my Dell 8700. It boots in 15-20 seconds. I have everything else on SSD drives. I also have one ready for a back up just because it is a computer, lol. The price is right and easy to install, even comes with screws. What not to like?

I used this to replace the storage on my iPod Classic and it’s working great! My only issue is the “true” storage is a whole 4GB less than the 64 advertised. I know this is the case with storage all the time but I wasn’t expecting it to be so much. 4 stars for working great so far

Drive fit fine, two screws included with mini screwdriver…that’s all the positive feedback. Functionally appears to work until you begin accessing files. Its data transfer speed is slow, and kernel emits USB comm errors with the device. Within a few minutes it will fail completely and the computer will disable to protect itself. Ultimately a fail—very surprised it didn’t damage the drive I had attached. ... show more
