I purchased this dog nail grinder at Amazon a week ago. It has several features: This grinder is cordless and comes with a rechargeable battery. When it runs low, I just charge it with a USB cable. There’s a button to turn a LED-light on which helps me to see my dog’s nails better. It has 6 different speed levels, from the slowest level 1 to the fastest level 6. It has 3 ports to trim dog's nails so that I can make the nails smooth and round no matter how big or thick they are. When I turned this grinder on, it made a soft buzzing sound that did not scare my dog; even on the highest speed, it was not too loud and worked really well. I am very happy because it is lightweight and easy to use. This dog nail grinder is really helpful! I think every pet owner should have one. Highly recommend!

This nail grinder is awesome. I wanted to make sure that it would not hurt my dog, so I tried it on my fingernails. I don’t know what the grinder end is made of, but it ground down my nails perfectly, but did not hurt or damage my skin when I touched it while spinning. It makes me feel good that it I am trimming my dogs nails that if I do touch his skin, it won’t hurt him. This kit comes with everything to cut dogs nails too. A pair of traditional trimmers, a hand file, and this electrical file. There are 2 heads, and 2 different guards. There is a light that helps to see what you are doing and multiple speeds, although I never went past the first speed. I really feel like this is a better way of cutting nails. The grinder is also very quiet, so it doesn’t scare my dog (or me for that matter) great little set at a great price.

Having tried others that didn't work on my large dogs' iron hard toenails, I was very pleased to find this one. The removable cap is essential--see photos. The coarse head works for shortening nails and the fine head for smoothing if necessary. It will certainly last longer than sandpaper! The grinder came already charged, and I used middle to low speed to give one of the dogs a manicure right away. I'll try increasing the speed as they get used to it. I didn't think low noise mattered since I had previously used a diesel. But it really helped with less pulling away. This wasn't my first grinder but it's the keeper.

I am super pleased with this electric pet nail grinder! My golden retriever responded well to it, and it will even eliminate the need for nail clipping. Pros: Extremely quiet while operating, very effective in smoothing down sharp edges, high quality with life warranty against defects, safety guards for medium and small claws, extra file tip for when the first one gets old, charging cord, and even a nail clipper! Cons: Pet will need to get familiar with it before use, and it has a slightly higher price than most--but is totally worth it! I highly recommend this for rounding out sharp edges and shortening pet nails.

My battery dremel died and needed a replacement. A feature dremel dropped was the light at the grinder which is very useful. This unit has the light which is great. I have two golden retrievers and the battery is more than sufficient to do both dogs. They like that it is quieter and they are more relaxed. The unit doesn’t grind as fast as a dremel but that is better because it doesn’t generate as much heat which is more comfortable for the dogs and helps avoid taking too much nail off.
