He was already stressed from his stay at the shelter and I worried about crating him for a 90 mile drive in fear he would hurt himself. My dog HATES the car and she always seemed like she wanted something to lay against to help her feel steady, i tried so many things and then finally i decided to get this little car seat thing. it was not the easiest to set up but that’s probably my fault, not the product’s. and it was definitely a little small, i assumed it would be small but my dog is 42 lbs and i could have sworn it said something somewhere that made me feel like this would be fine for her, but she BARELY fits. Thankfully she likes to be curled up in a tiny little ball. But i noticed an immediate difference in how comfortable she felt, i really believe it eased her nerves a little bit and that makes it super worth it. maybe one day i’ll invest in a higher quality/larger one, but for now this is perfect. ... show more

    • Easy set up, very secure seat with dog harness

This is a great booster seat for our 23 lb bichoodle. When she's wearing her dog harness (with a seat belt loop on the back) we can secure her in the seat with the car seat belt, which is more comfortable and secure than other options we considered, and the cost was very reasonable. Please note: After our dog had recent surgery and couldn't wear the harness (as it would have pressed her incision area) we instead used an attachment that comes with the seat to secure her with her collar. While she seems comfortable, that seems far less safe and good for short rides only. However, I'm still giving this a 5 star rating -- based on research I've read, the only really safe dog car seat options work with harnesses. ... show more

I think this product is best suited to dogs who are 30 lbs and under. I measured the product after receiving it and found that it measures 14 in x 14 in not including the bolsters. The height of the bolsters is 4 in x 5 in wide. It mostly fit my seat but was just not long enough or wide enough for my dog. Our dogs absolutely love these! Our dogs are about 15-20 pounds each and the seat makes them feel secure and comfortable. The downside is that the clasps of the straps that reach around the back of the seat seem to break easily so be careful! Otherwise, it's a very nice car seat.

Super nice quality and easy to assemble. The wrap around pad was a little bumpy hen opened but I threw it in the dryer for a few minutes and it fluffed up GREAT!!
