My Otto has been freaking out in the car since I’ve had him. He has literally barked for fourteen hours straight on 200mg of trazodone if the car was doing anything other than smooth highway cruising (true story—road trip). I want to bring my boy everywhere with me, but he just really couldn’t handle car rides. I have used this booster seat for two round-trips (15 mins each way), and it has made a world of difference. Otto still barks, but it is not constant or disruptive. I have also taken to bringing tiny pieces of sausage (super high-value food) to give to him any time he is quiet so he associates being calm with getting goodies. I think his stress levels will only keep improving! I can’t believe the difference these two strategies have made in a week and a half! I will be returning some other products I was meaning to try as we have found our solution. A side note is that you will need a bench or a blow-up spacer to put in the space between the front and back seats, or the booster seat will just bend over the gap. I made a simple bench out of plywood in the garage, but you can find lots of inflatable products on Amazon. ... show more

I like everything about the seat and was delivered as described; however upon setting it up, the bottom was frayed and pulled apart from the seat itself on the back side. It looks like it was already dog scratched and used. Hopefully a blanket will do the trick to cover it up so my puppies do not damage it further. ... show more

Best purchase I ever made! My Goldendoodle 8 month old puppy was scared and car sick before purchasing this car seat. He now is comfortable and secure in this seat and is much more relaxed in the car. The best part is he no longer gets car sick and actually lays down and sleeps on long rides. I put A few blankets in the seat and my puppy (38 pounds) cuddles up in them and no longer is nervous in the car!!! Purchased in Feb 2024. First off, the bottom is slick and my dog had issues getting in and standing still on it. Secondly, i only went about 6 blocks and my dog had managed to slide around on the slick bottom and knocked the side wall down. Ended up getting muddy paw prints all over the car seat. So much for this car seat protector. Update: 4/13/24 the clasp that connects around the front seat headrest is broken and now will not stay snapped together. ... show more

The piece overall is very nice quality. I love that both the left and right sides have 2 zippers to open, that is a top feature for me! I was specifically seeking both sides zip down with 2 zippers and also an extender. The dual openings each with 2 zippers allows for the seat to be on either passenger or driver side AND that the opening is a FULL opening without fabric flopping around scaring my already skittish dog. My extender is very floppy and does not hold the weight of my 21lb dog, it sags significantly and scares her. I have tried tightening the strap around the headrest of the seat in front, but it doesn't help. You must provide your own reinforcement for the extender, the provided one fails. It is still working well for me, my girl is ok not utilizing the extender when she lays down, and the larger interior reduces the claustrophobia. ... show more
