This was her first road trip (4 hour drive) and I was nervous about having her crated during the ride because she’s a very anxious pup. This seat ended up being perfect for her to ride up front with me. It’s very soft and comfortable. The strap gives enough lead for her to stand on the side and see out the window, while still being safely contained. I’ve searched for the perfect dog seat for my 22 pound yorkiepoo and this is it. He loves it and I do too. It’s easy to install for me and extremely comfortable for him. I got mine on sale but would buy it full price if I’d known it would be this nice. Get it for your fur baby.

Unit is great. High quality but the leash part should come from the bottom and not the top of the car seat. I think it would hold the dog inside better that way.

The media could not be loaded. First, idk why but this took a lot longer to arrive than it should’ve, but the wait was worth it. My dog instantly sat in it (twice) when I took it out. He’s comfortable, the plush sides keeps him inside his seat (along with the clip for safety) but also allows for him to stand up without being able to jump out. My dog is a toy fox terrier, 9.6lbs & 14 years old so he’s a little more laid back now, however still very clingy. The seat being wide enough to keep him comfortable with side walls plush enough for him to lean against but still see me when seated is a major plus because he wasn’t trying to jump out. Having the extended back on the car seat makes it harder for him to topple out of if he were to be determined to reach me. It’s big, but worth it, it even helped to keep his dog hair more confined to his car seat. I felt more at ease rolling the window down for him without worry for his safety and my car’s interior. The best dog car seat for my little guy ever, and the straps to buckle the bottom half & chain to go over the headrest are very easy to use.

I ordered 2 of these seats for my Bedlington terriers to be installed in the backseat of my vehicle (as with children, it's the safest place for them). The hardest part of installing them was getting them out of the packages. Extreme care must be used as you cut it open to get the seat out. When I finally got the package almost open, the seat popped itself out because it was now in expansion mode. I quickly retrieved it from the plastic bag it was in and sat it on the floor to fully expand, then repeated steps with the other seat. The broken clips were in the seats. Perhaps they broke when they compressed the seats at the factory. That being said, if they aren't strong enough to withstand compression then they won't withstand an auto accident. But no problem, I already had a heads up from another review about the cheap clips and had ordered a headrest restraint with a carabiner for each seat. I installed the seats and the headrest restraints and will use carabiners to attach the top of the seats to the headrest restraint's metal circle that the straps are attached to. I adjusted the restraint just long enough that they could lie down in the seat, but not be able to jump out of it. I now feel like these seats are safe for my dogs. Hopefully the straps that the seatbelt goes through are strong enough. If they do break, at least the headrest restraint offers protection for them. The seats by themselves are awesome, but the quality of safety is lacking. I'm glad I got these seats and had the heads up that I would need to add additional safety items. NOTE: I also replaced safety harnesses for my dogs because the old ones were beginning to show wear and tear. Auto restraints should always be attached to a harness and never to a collar.
