I would have given this a 5-star rating but my dog does not like it. I thought it would be great to make her feel more secure and also lift her up a bit so she could see out the window and lay down at the same time. She climbs into this bed when she first gets in the car but as soon as the car moves she gets out and sits next to it. It may be because we were not able to secure the bed to the seat using the straps on the bottom of the bed and the seat belt. It just does not seem to work in our car. So because it is not completely stable this may make her nervous, I'm not sure. But it seems to be very well made and very soft. I also like that the bottom pad can come out. I may try to rig it somehow so that it is more secure and hope that she gets used to it. ... show more

The seat is really big, it barely fits my SUV back seat. The car seats hangs over the seat about 2 or 3 inches. It does not appear to be sturdy. It is not firm. My puppies jumped right into it. They seem to like it. I’m concerned that it is not sturdy enough. There is a gap between the cushions and the structure. It came already assembled. I’ll give it a day or two to expand. This bed is BIG! I had hoped this would be a good car bed for my dog, but it takes half the back seat! Brought it back in the house and put it in front of the fireplace and he absolutely loves it! He's 30 lbs. now and can really sprawl out in this! He's made chew toys out of other beds in the past, but for some reason leaves this one alone, crawls into it and rests comfortably! It could be because it sits so much higher than the others and is closer to the fireplace fan. The material is soft and the cushion feels so soft and cozy. All covers are removable via zipper and can be thrown in the wash. It's not fair my pup should be more comfortable than me, but he deserves it! ... show more

I snagged this for my 40 lb doodle who loves car rides, but is always very anxious and unsettled. She wants to see out, we have seat covers, but she still moved all over the place trying to see out the windows. She settled right down in this bed/mobile pet palace. She laid it in the majority of the car ride. This guy is like the king of car seats for larger dogs. It takes up a lot of space, so I put it in the back of the mini at first, but it might fit on the floor for longer trips. Even if it doesn’t, the removable pad (that seems to have a neat gold metallic waterproof bottom - see photos) will definitely fit between the seats. You can buckle it in and there is a nice drape/cover over the seat back. You can attach to your pup’s harness or leash, and also take the big foam pads out to wash it. Bonus that it matches my van’s interior. Has a pocket on the front, also pictured. I think this would honestly accommodate a fairly large dog, my 40 lb girl still has a lot of room. 60-70 lbs is probably fairly legit. This thing is HUGE. Love it, recommend if you have space for it. Would definitely fit in the back seat of a sedan, but not much else! ... show more
