I'm a mechanical engineer and built this "with" my kids who are 6 & 8. I don't know what age they think will be able to build this on their own, but it's not Lego. The injection molded parts are clever and they do a lot with a limited number of pieces. The brakes seem to to be the worst part, so I'll be looking into modifying/improving those. The mounting the caliper via standoffs on a plastic block seems to be the biggest issue. ... show more

    • Doesn’t stay together
The concept is great BUTTTT It took us a little over 10 hours total to put it together with instructions that were only barely in English. Then once you get it together, you have to tighten everything each time they ride. It doesn’t stay together well. VERY fragile. So unless I have 10-15 minutes to tighten this thing every single time my son wants to ride it, it’s a 900-dollar paper weight. ... show more
