Series 1 Christopher Eccleston's Doctor is wise and funny, cheeky and brave. An alien and a loner (it's difficult keeping up with friends when your day job involves flitting through time and space), his detached logic gives him a vital edge when the world's in danger. Series 2 The complete second series featuring David Tennant as the tenth 'regenerated' Doctor Who. In 'The Christmas Invasion' Christmas trees and seasonal Santa Claus impersonators begin wreaking havoc on the residents of London. Series 3 The third series of Doctor Who is full of new thrills, new laughs, new heartbreak and some terrifying new monsters. From the moment the Doctor walks into the life of medical student Martha Jones he changes it forever. Series 4 David Tennant is back in his role as the Doctor in the fourth series of the hit sci-fi show! Award-winning comedienne Catherine Tate returns as the Doctor's new companion, reviving her role as Donna Noble. Doctor Who Series 1-4 UK
This is a review of the UK box set of Doctor Who Series 1-4. The contents of the box contain the 4 dvd box sets and an episode guide. The dvd sets differ only in the casing from the original releases. They did away with the fancy fold out dvd cases and replaced them with simple plastic cases. The episode guide contains all the pictures and information found in the original releases but obviously put together in a handsome book (plus some extra pictures and episode reviews). The UK versions of the discs differ from the US releases only in providing audio commentary for the visually impaired on each episode and on menus if selected. The price of the set is excellent and far below the price of purchasing each series individually. The only concern for US buyers would be the region code but don't fear. if you simply google the model of your dvd player with the term "region free code" it will provide you a site to make your dvd player region free usually with no more effort than a few button pushes of your remote. You may want to do this before purchase just to make sure your dvd player is compatible. ... show more
