Since it is made from real leather, the case itself does seem to be susceptible to small accidental scratches from my fingernails but those scratches also seem to repair itself simply by handling the phone further. QUALITY: The phone case feels high end made of leather and a nice brown color. It fits very well in a professional setting and it seems well made. The case fits snugly to the phone, easy to install just by popping the phone into the case. The buttons cut outs are perfect and high quality. FUNCTIONALITY: The case seems to be able to protect the phone well, though I have not dropped it to test it, but it looks well made and could potentially take a hit. It is magsafe compatible but I wish the magnet is a big stronger. VALUE: I think it is a solid case and I wouldn’t mind paying less than $10 for it, but anything more it doesn’t seem to worth it for me. ... show more

    • Best case I have had in a long time

Great case. In fact, this is probably the best case I've ever had. The magsafe works fine. To me, it has a nice aesthetic. It fits well and is easy to install. Most importantly, it feels quite solid. The lip is reinforced throughout the entire case. I've had other cases where the lip is flimsy above the charging port, to the point where it feels it can easily rip and will over time, but this case has a rigid lip all around the phone. The buttons are nice as well, rather than just a rubber cover that muffles or dampens the tactile response of clicking a button, this one has rigid buttons that give the same tactile feel as using the phone's buttons without a case at all. I have three minor but specific complaints about the product, that perhaps the manufacturer can think about on any newer iterations of cases (who fknows, maybe they read these). Please, don't take these complaints as saying you shouldn't get this case if you're on the fence, but use them to help make an informed decision. First, it has a bit of an off-gassing odor still, although this is supposed to be genuine leather, so I assume that's some residual odor from whatever they used to treat the leather. I'm sure this will go away, it's brand new. Second, and this is probably more a complaint about the smartphone camera design, but case manufacturers will need to adapt... The case has a lip around the camera area. I assume this is to help protect the camera. But this lip makes it such that that phone does not lay completely flat on a surface, so I can tap the corner furthest from the camera and cause the phone to move slightly up and down (like an uneven table or chair). This is a minor annoyance, but noticeable to me. Again, I think this is a difficult tradeoff while trying to protect cameras that are now larger and stick out more on smartphones (which is presumably done to increase the size of the lens and quality of the camera, idk). Third complaint is that the leather feels nice and grippy in my hand, but it lacks friction on some other surfaces. Would be nice to have a little more friction. I think that could even be incorporated into, say, the lip around the camera area. It might even be the camera lip, which is a glossy plastic, that is taking away from the friction of the leather. All that said, I think this is a fantastic case. I will continue to use it. ... show more

I did not realize I would develop actual feelings for a phone case, but here we are. This Dockem leather case is, quite frankly, the “quiet luxury” of phone cases. Understated. Well made. No logos screaming for attention. It simply shows up, does its job beautifully, and lets you pretend you're the type of person who has their life together. The leather feels like the kind that’s going to age into absolute perfection. Right now, it's smooth and rich, but I can already tell it’s going to pick up those little scuffs and marks that make leather better over time, not worse. Every tiny nick just adds to the whole “I sip espresso and read the Financial Times” vibe, even if I am, in reality, holding my phone while in leggings on my couch. The fit? Spot on. Snaps right onto my iPhone 16e like it was custom tailored. The buttons feel clicky and responsive, which sounds like a small thing but is actually everything. And the MagSafe works without issue, so I can slap it onto my charger without doing the awkward alignment dance. It’s slim but still protective, with just enough lip to keep my screen safe without turning my phone into a brick. If you want a case that looks like you paid way more for it than you did, feels incredible, and doesn’t turn your phone into a chunky mess, this is absolutely it. Zero notes. ... show more

This is a gorgeous, well made case. The leather feels really nice and smooth. I can tell it’ll age well with use. All of the buttons are clicky and accurate. My one issue is that it could have better raised edges around the screen. They are a little low considering how thin the case is.
