I wanted an easier method for customers to tap the square hardware and this dock holds it in place at a perfect angle, also accessible for non tap use. I use it at an outdoor market and has helped process sales hands free which speeds up the check out time. Someone else left a review saying this, so heed their advice (and mine). The back/top piece that locks the reader in place doesn't stay put. It's loose before you put the reader in, and even more loose once you put the reader in and have to slide it in on top. Cheap, not worth it, and not worth your time.
