After buying a tnc225r nearly 2 years ago I figured it was time to upgrade into something new and splurge a little. I mounted the HS650r sunday onto a bolt action .300 blackout and went to setup the ballistics. This time I used the DNT app and pulling from the ammunition database made my life easier at the range, all that I needed to change was the velocity and scope height. After 200 rounds ranging from 50 to 300 I'm happy with the accuracy of the ballistics using subsonic ammo, its definitely easy to setup and the buttons once you get used to are not a problem. The HS650r is definitely worth the cash giving the build quality, I don't baby my rifles and bang around my optics as well. If its anything similar to the durability of my TNC225R then I won't be worried about this at all. ... show more

It's a decent optic at the price point but it is not on par with the bigger name 640 optics. The crosshairs are way too large for precision shooting. I wish they would do a firmware update that gives us much finer, more precise options, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I was extremely disappointed in the optics performance in high humidity. Did a side by side comparison with Nocpix, and 2 different Agm models and it wasnt even close. Very happy with it so far. The optics are very clear. The cross hairs could be a smaller in the (PIP) to allow for a more precise shot at long range. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 *

This scope is absolutely amazing. I did a lot of research and compared a lot of thermals in this price and nothing came close. Either it wasn’t a higher resolution or it didn’t have a laser range finder like this one. I was not disappointed when I received it. The image is crystal clear, the laser range finder is spot on, and the menus were so simple my 12 year old son already knows how to change the color modes and connect it to his phone.
