Overall the fit and finish of these is pretty great, not quite OEM, but servicable. This is really apparent with the wiring harnesses and some of sealing on the rear of the light housing. Unlike other reviewers I had no real problem in installing these, and while the fit wasn’t entirely as tight as the OEM, it worked. The main part that this could be an issue with is how the Forester’s bumper is clipped into the bottom of the headlight enclosure—this was my biggest struggle on installation. The one thing that’s really important to stress is how these back units do not have a reflective coating behind your indicator lights. If you install the standard stock bulbs, they will be extremely dim. This has not been too much of an issue at night, but during a bright day with no clouds in sight, it can be near impossible to see your turn signals. As you see with other reviewers, you’ll most likely need to install a brighter turn signal indicator so that it’s more clearly seen. LEDs work for this. I wish they did not skimp on the safety of this key aspect of the light, as they could have blacked out other parts of the silver inner housing, but still kept a silver backing on the indicator light area. This just seems like a pretty big oversight to a critical light for the vehicle. ... show more

These are the second pair of after market headlights that I bought for my Forester, and they are perfect fit compared to the previous assemblies. I made the purchase to replace the previous headlights that are hazed & cloudy, where many headlight restoration products failed, plus I'm concerned that my Forester may not pass its upcoming annual safety check. In preparation for the upcoming rain season here in Hawaii and as a lesson that I learned from the previous headlight assemblies, I decided to spray FlexSeal at the seams of these headlights in order to prevent moisture/water from sipping inside. These look great and installed easily, but my passenger side unit wouldn’t adjust properly. I contacted the seller and they worked with me to resolve the issue. I ended up returning them for a refund, but if they had worked initially they would have been a 5 star. If you can deal with a possible return and/or refund these are worth the price. I've had these headlights for a little more than a year, purchased Sept 2019. The install was super simple, remove the old lights stick the bulbs in the new ones and done. Nice crisp cutoff so they don't blind oncoming traffic. That's the good. The bad is the film coating them is peeling off as shown in the attached pictures. They began peeling on the turnsignal bump outs and have continued to peel down across the lense itself. Not sure if this is an issue with just this set or not. ... show more

These headlight assemblies look amazing on the car. Gives the car a unique and aggressive look while looking somewhat oem. The only problem was that after the first carwash moisture started forming inside of the passenger side lens. After getting that issue fixed, I would still recommend this product. ... show more

Do not buy these. They have the same installation process as the oem headlights....but they are very much inferior to the OEM housings. The copper plug ins for your bunks (you must transfer your bulbs to these) do not hold your bulbs securely. The turn light signal plug in spot had very low quality metal clips that would not hold my turn light. The seals also used to seal up your lights have gaps and the harnesses wires are very thin. Returned them within 30 mins of noticing these shortcomings. It's a shame, they look good. ... show more
