  • Solid expansion battery, small gap in the instructions
Excellent expansion battery option, I’m using the Power Station 1000 + expansion battery as a UPS for my home network gear, and it has been performing well and keeping everything running during outages and power fluctuations. The instructions for the expansion battery say to update the firmware on the main unit before hooking up the battery. The first time I hooked up the battery I got Err03 (external firmware issue) and the expansion battery was not charging. Running the same firmware update a second time with the expansion battery connected triggered an update of the expansion battery firmware after the main unit firmware update completed, and the battery worked perfectly after that. It’s not specified in the manual, but it was easy enough to find the solution. ... show more

  • It needs to come with a devices that work with the product instead of buying all these extra stuff
Such expensive item it should be able to sync or hook up to your other device that is the same product you have to buy extra devices to help it work that is not only the way it should be I spent a lot of money on this and I still cannot get it to work because I had to have another device now I have to wait for the other device to come in and if it don't work then I will send the product back cuz that is a lot of money just to waste ... show more

  • Doesn't work without power 1000 firmware, that is seemingly impossible to update
If you can't update firmware, this won't work I could never get the firmware update to work

  • ERR03
if you are trying to fix this error you CAN update this expansion battery without the dongle. just make sure they are both plugged in to eachother properly and run the DJI power 1000 update while both are connected and plugged into the wall. After the ACDC update section it will then move to ExternalBAT update. just wanted to leave this here for those that were confused why they could not see it in the software. ... show more

  • Beware the DJI Power 2000—A Dangerous Pass-Through Power Draw
EDIT - I feel that it is only fair to update my review and add an additional star because of the excellent customer care team. They have done everything they can to help in this situation. They have also escalated the issue that I reported to the technical team. If/when they address the problem, I will update my rating. I recently put both the DJI Power 1000 and Power 2000 through real-world tests, and what I discovered is genuinely alarming: these units can massively exceed their own charge-rate settings and your home circuit’s safe limits, creating a serious fire hazard. ________________________________________ 1. Power 1000 Pass-Through Overdraw Even with the Power 1000 set to charge at 600 W, whenever I connected my print-farm rack (which itself was drawing around 700 W), the unit behaved like a straight passthrough. I pulled 1,400 W+ from the wall—more than double the advertised setting. 2. Power 2000: Even Worse Behavior Expecting better, I upgraded to the Power 2000. Under a 1,500 W space heater plus a 400 W secondary heater, the display shot up to 1,800 W–1,900 W (see photos), despite being advertised for 2,400 W continuous output in passthrough/boost mode. Within 60 seconds, the unit shut itself off—no graceful limiting, just an abrupt cut. • Input reading: 1,828 W • Output reading: 1,799 W • Battery state: ~98 % (Image 1: wall-meter showing 1,884 W draw; Image 2: Power 2000 display showing ~1,800 W input/output) 3. Why This Matters A “continuous load” and should be limited to 80 % of the breaker’s capacity—that’s 12 amps or about 1,440 watts. • Overheating & Fire Risk: Drawing 1,800–1,900 W nonstop will overheat wiring, outlets, and breakers. Insulation can melt and spark a fire long before a breaker finally trips. • False Security: You might assume a breaker will protect you, but these units quietly allow much higher draw without immediate tripping. 4. Customer Support I’ve reported these overdraw issues to DJI—and they’ve only grown worse with the Power 2000 firmware revision. No recall, no warning labels, just continued over-ambitious specifications. 5. Safer Alternatives For anyone needing reliable, lower-power UPS or pass-through devices, consider proven options like the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. It genuinely limits at its stated output, includes robust thermal and overload protection, and won’t silently overtax your home circuit. (Disclaimer: I’m not sponsored—I’m simply a concerned customer.) I hope this helps to inform and keep you safe. ... show more

  • Error3 software mismatch.
Recommend getting Dji dongle with the power2000. Use computer to update power 1000 to use dongle then use dongle to update both units to matching software. Update them together by plug them together and auto update . For some reason the computer/MacBook can’t see the power 2000 to update it.
