Description

An uprated camera is equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor capable of shooting 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14 fps. The Flight Autonomy system includes 5 vision sensors for 2-directions of obstacle sensing and forward-vision obstacle avoidance. The adoption of titanium alloy and magnesium alloy construction increases the rigidity of the airframe and reduces weight, making the Phantom 4 Advanced even lighter than the Phantom 4.

  • I had to send the remote controller in to get repaired before the very first flight.
I had to send the remote controller in to get repaired before the very first flight. I was able to activate it and calibrate the IMU's but when I went out to calibrate the compass and fly it I got a buttful of remote control errors. It is a good thing I have one from my Phantom 4 Pro so at least I can fly it. With this Covid-19 shut down who knows when I'll get it back. ... show more

  • Same as the P4Pro for less money!
Before of buying this Phantom I had a P3 Pro and a P3-4K, I was not aware of the P4 Pro model or the Adv model, I did a search of the features I for me the Adv will do the same as the Pro for less money, I sold my P3 Pro and bought this one, the most influential feature for me is the improvement in the camera. This is a beautiful quadcopter, great lines and a better finish than the previous model. The performance is incredible, the battery life is a huge improvement over the P3. The camera is awesome, a 1 inch sensor in it and you can adjust the aperture, this is a huge point to me. One draw back is that you can't use a camera/gimbal protector on the legs of the P4 because will interfere with the altitude sensors, for the use of the protector you will have to disable the sensors. Great response, really fast, I love it. Only drawback is that the camera filters from the previous model will not fit this camera (bigger one). ... show more

  • Awesome camera drone for photographers
I've had a Phantom 4 for the past year, but just got the Advanced for the improved camera. Very nice! Easy to fly. Highly reliable. Takes great photos and videos. It can take stills while shooting video, but they will be the same resolution as the video. I mainly use 1080P HD for video because my computers have trouble displaying 4K. For strictly still shots I use full resolution and RAW file mode. However when I shot some stills while shooting continuous video I found they were all 1080 JPGs. Still getting used to the improved camera with more complex settings including focus. All in all I'm very happy with the P4A advanced and would recommend it to anyone serious about doing photography with it. If you're not as critical about photos, you can save a bunch by opting for the standard Phantom 4, which takes awesome photos too, just not quite as awesome as the advanced version. ... show more

  • Great Drone, terrible software and update timing...
Let me start by saying that Amazon and Garlus are excellent vendors. DJI makes amazing hardware. I only gave this a 3 star because of DJI's terrible firmware and timing. I just picked this up last week, performed an update, and was left with a noisy, jittery gimbal on their premier 1" Cmos 4K drone. Very unfortunate. DJI did offer to take it back and repair it, including covering shipping even though I didn't purchase the Care Refresh. I opted to return it as defective because it was less than a week old, so a refurb of unknown age and condition was not an option in my mind in exchange for essentially a new unit. I will give credit to all involved and I hold no ill feelings towards DJI, I will buy another one once they get the firmware bugs ironed out. In the meantime, I have a new Spark Fly More I will enjoy until they get the P4A worked out. ... show more

  • Great when it works!
Great drone and fantastic camera. Been using this for surfing and lanscape cinematography. The speed controller stopped working for no apparent reason and caused the gimbol to look left without the ability to re-calibrate. It was a pain to figure out what was wrong and good luck with DJI customer care. I Was able to fix it with the help of the tools i ordered on amazon and youtube videos. When this works it is a great drone! ... show more

  • I worthwhile upgrade over the P3Pro especially for indoor flying and 60fps 4K
I bought this for the 1 inch sensor and it was worth it over the 1/2.3 inch sensor in the P3Pro (which I still have). Images are so much smoother with the 60fps 4K and adjustable apertures. Indoor flying is like having a camera on a cable. My P3Pro is not very good indoor. Outdoor is even better. And no more compass "dance" that is required on the P3Pro. The P3Pro is still a backup but I can see retiring the P3Pro. ... show more

  • Battery Problems, Bad Customer Service
I ordered this product on July 23rd. It came two days later (yay Amazon) with a dead battery (boo DJI). I should have, honestly, returned it to Amazon. Instead, I submitted a ticket with DJI on the 25th. The process of getting a new battery has been tedious, to say the least. Three weeks later I am still without my battery. And, while I shipped back my dead battery so they could "verify" it was actually dead, (verification only happened 5 days ago, by the way), I was just informed the tracking number hasn't been generated, therefore, it hasn't even shipped. So, maybe it's a good product. But, I wouldn't know, as without a battery, it's simply a $1200 piece of junk. And, considering that these drones have battery issues (I have since discovered this while doing more research online), one would think they'd have a better process for getting working batteries to people who spent a lot of money on their product. ... show more

  • Quality Pictures with the new 4k Camera
Great drone, But you need a newer smart device to down load the app you need to fly.
