I purchased this item to use it for sports recording due to my hands shaking at times from anxiety and it has helped tremendously for recording sporting events for my kids and when I am at the golf course and want to record myself. The ability for the camera to be used in 360 degree rotation and tracking is incredible. I haven't been able to use the full battery, but it does allow for fast charging my Iphone when the battery is being used up so that is a major positive to avoid needing more cables and chargers. The ease of use is incredible using the DJI app which allows great tutorials for using the Mobile 8 as well as quick editing. The value of the product is a bit more than other similiar types, but this has the DJI name and provides some credibility behind their name. Compatibility is easy with apple products, and I assume as well with Android given it's a bluetooth connection or a NFC tag scan. Design is similiar to past models but more advanced I would say.

Just got the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 and holy crap, the stabilization is insane. Walking around the house chasing the dog or kids? Footage is buttery smooth, no shakes at all. The ActiveTrack 7.0 locks on people/pets like magic – even in low light with the little fill light module. Built-in extension rod is clutch for group selfies without looking goofy, and the tripod legs pop out for hands-free setup on the kitchen counter or snowy patio (tested in 20°F weather, no issues). Battery lasts forever – got 8-9 hours easy filming holiday vids. Magnetic clamp snaps my phone on quick, charges it too if needed. Way better than relying on phone stabilization alone. If you're in Utah and want smooth outdoor/family content without lugging big gear, grab this. Worth every penny.

Ive had a professional Ronin gimbal for my DSLR. This is significantly smaller in size but it doesn't seem to have as much balancing as the bigger units. For example, if its moved to far it in one direction, it will start turning the phone. besides that it is a great choice to use for amateur video stabilization. To add onto that, it's not its main purpose but also seems like a great way to FaceTime or video call people so it can track you if you aren't next to the phone.

Outstanding product. It tracks you amazingly even outside the app. I use it to track me while video chatting. It's super compact and easy to use. What I like the most is how feels very solid and able to hold my Samsung S24 Ultra.
