abunda_amazon_reviews We purchased this camera for use on our vacation. After 3 weeks, during filming, the camera quit working completely. We tried 3 different batteries (fully charged) and nothing worked, it is completely dead! So much for filming our vacation. DJI wants us to send in this brand new camera for repair...I did not spend brand new money for a repaired camera....and it probably would fail again after 3 more weeks! I'd advise anyone to buy a GO PRO camera instead of the Osmo Action camera...They are complete junk!!;;Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Complete Junk;;Suzanna L. I have used action camera for years and I can tell you, this one didn’t work as it should. After using it for just 1 day the audio is totally unusable and the seal for the battery is coming apart!! Otherwise, I am returning it for sure!;;Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2019;;1.0 out of 5 stars;;Dead on arrival!;;Simon;;;Got to use my Osmo Action for a few days now, definitely impressed. Upgrading from a Hero3+ from years ago, got to say action cams has really come a long way. I must start with the Rocksteady feature-- the stabilization results of the video footage is so seamless. It's surprising how well it produces results electronically. Let's talk about other image stabilizing technologies that are in the industry right now-- example a mechanical IBIS you find in mirrorless cameras. IBIS sometimes causes image warping because the camera sensor is shifting from countering your hand movement. Not only that, IBIS just stabilizes your image marginally, you'd still need a gimbal to really get a steady image. Another example is when you're stabilizing a normal video footage in post with a video editing software like iMovie or Final Cut Pro X, your image will sometimes suffer from warping or even vibration blur from the user's footsteps. You DO NOT GET ANY OF THESE ISSUES in the Osmo Action and its Rocksteady feature. You just get a stable video clip, EVERY TIME. I'm such a big fan of this stabilization technology. It keeps its small form factor without needing a bulky gimbal to pack around. It just works. Next feature that is a big upgrade from the old Hero3 is that the Osmo Action has a screen. A very large screen for that matter. The Hero3 didn't have that and I'd always have the guess what's in the frame of what I'm recording. Not only does it have a screen, it has a second screen in the front of the camera that you can switch to. Pretty ideal for vloggers and taking selfies (pretty sure that's the main point of the design), but there are tons of scenarios where that front screen will come in handy for you to monitor what's in frame wherever you're mounting this thing. I do wish there was a function to have both screens to be turned on at the same time, that way the subject can see what I'm seeing. Maybe in a firmware update in the future? Listing some other features that I like, there is a D-Cinelike picture profile that makes the image somewhat "flatter" for better editing and do some color grading. Variety of frame rates, this thing records up to 60fps at 4K and 240fps at 1080P allowing you to do some incredible slow motion video. With all of its capabilities, I can really see how people can find more opportunities to use a device like this. I know when I was still using the old Hero3, I would take it along with me with my travels and would use my main mirrorless camera and only use the Hero3 if I'm capturing images near water since action cameras are water proof. So sometimes it just remains in my bag and never gets used. With the Osmo Action and its smooth hand held shots, I'll be using it all the time! Excited to take this along on a trip. Have fun with this awesome piece of technology, guys!;;Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2019;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Incredibly Stable Video Footage!;;mavennium;;;I have used this for a week. This is so annoying beacuse every time I need to the the memory card out, I also need to take the body out. I had to buy "PGYTECH Camera Cage" which allows me to open the cover while the body is in the case. A week later, I bought the same camer again for my work. As soon as I open the box and turn the camera on, I could see dead pixels on the back screen. Moreover, the memory card slot didn't work properly. I experienced card jam. So I decided to return it. This is not a go pro killer yet . The Accessories take for ever to get and you cannot use low gb micro sd card it a shame. also the DGI pocket you cannot use the same USB type C especially no third-party or any other adapters for external mics as well if I did my research a little better I would have never bought this action cam;;Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2019;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;No external mic can be used;;roy;;;There are loads of reviews on YouTube describing this camera. My personal use so far makes me like it even more than I expected I would. I figured DJI makes an amazing drone (I have the mavic air) so they can probably make a good action camera as well. The front view screen is awesome for selfie angles. The clarity and quality of the video is superb! The quick mode change button is useful, as are the voice commands. The basic audio is better than the GoPro 6 audio. The only thing I don't like about this camera is that they say you shouldn't put it underwater without an additional case. I've decided to use my old GoPro 6 for underwater shots and save this Osmo Action for other shots. I was planning to buy the water case but now I love the camera so much that I really don't want to put it underwater, at least for now. Have fun with this awesome piece of technology, guys!

Dead pixels, memory card slot failed, return by my own?
I have used this for a week. And I found it has one big problem. It keeps showing memory card read failure error. So I have to take the card out and re-insert it. Then it works for a while. This seller only provided USPS. And I had to print the label by myself, and pay for shipping. I am disappointed.

No external mic can be used
I really wanted to like this camera. The quality is good it’s easy to use. But it’s hard to tell when it’s on especially on your motorcycle helmet this camera is not intended for Motovlogging there’s no adapters on the market as of yet anything on YouTube that you see saying that there is external mics is not true . This is not a go pro killer yet . The Accessories take for ever to get and you cannot use low gb micro sd card it a shame. also the DGI pocket you cannot use the same USB type C especially no third-party or any other adapters for external mics as well if I did my research a little better I would have never bought this action cam

I like it better than my GoPro 6
There are loads of reviews on YouTube describing this camera. Oh and of course I must mention that the "rock steady" stabilizer is truly as good as they say!!!!! I am giving away my old gimbal and never want one again. What an annoyance it was to use a gimbal to get steady footage with my GoPro.... but with this Osmo Action, it is absolutely amazing perfect steady footage. I think this camera is so good it could serve as the main camera for a lot of people.
