Picked up the DJI Osmo Action 6 Enhanced Combo for a scuba diving trip to Key Largo and it exceeded every expectation. The image quality underwater is exceptional — the 1/1.1 inch sensor captures incredible detail and color even at depth. The 8K capability is impressive but what really stands out is how well it handles the challenging underwater environment. Colors stay true and the footage is sharp and smooth even with current and movement. Used it on two dives at Victory Reef and Crocker Reef and the footage of nurse sharks, lionfish, and moray eels came out stunning. The waterproof rating gives you confidence to focus on the dive rather than worrying about the camera. The stabilization is excellent — footage comes out smooth even with surge and movement underwater. The Enhanced Combo package is worth the extra investment — the additional batteries and accessories make it practical for a full day of shooting without running out of power. Battery life is solid and the magnetic charging system is convenient between dives. The DJI Mimo app pairs seamlessly via Bluetooth for reviewing and editing footage right on your phone after the dive. If you're looking for a serious action camera for diving, water sports, or any outdoor adventure — the Osmo Action 6 is the one to get. Highly recommend. I haven’t tested the DJI Osmo Action 6 in serious hiking conditions yet, but I’ve already used it several times around the house and filmed some cats. My first impression is very positive: this is an excellent camera and a genuinely good bundle. The extension pole is ridiculously long - I did not expect that at all. The original charging case is also excellent and feels very well designed. I’m especially glad I bought this bundle because I also purchased a third-party set with three extra batteries, and its charger feels like a cheap plastic box compared with DJI’s case. I don’t see much point in reviewing every camera specification here. My overall impression is that the Action 6 is extremely thoughtful and close to an ultimate all-round action camera. I barely had to compare it with alternatives because it clearly stood out as the most sensible and complete option. The user experience is one of its strongest points. DJI microphones can connect directly to the camera, and the mobile app connects almost automatically. You open the app, and the camera is simply there - without having to fight with connection settings like on some traditional cameras. The camera starts almost instantly. The modes are logical, and at first it may seem like there are not many settings, but after using it, you realize that most of the missing complexity is unnecessary. You either want normal footage or Log. That’s it. No endless menu hunting. The photo workflow is also sensible. You can shoot compressed JPEGs, or JPEG + RAW, so you can immediately view and transfer photos while still keeping the RAW file for recovering shadows later. At first, I was disappointed that RAW-only shooting was not available, but the advantage is that the photos can be opened on the phone immediately. The downside is that the JPEGs take around one or two seconds to process and appear heavily compressed for 38MP images. The square sensor is fantastic, especially for reframing between horizontal and vertical formats. The camera is also very easy to rotate. Both screens are practical and behave exactly as expected. Another excellent feature is recording audio from the wireless microphones and the camera’s internal microphone onto separate tracks. There are a few drawbacks: - No screen protectors are included, so you need to find and apply them yourself. - The body feels too nice to leave unprotected. The rubberized surface will probably show wear over time, so a case feels necessary. - A lens cap should absolutely be included. It feels like a must-have accessory, and users should not have to gamble on random third-party options. - The microSD card is awkward to remove, as usual. Also, 64GB turned out to be quite small for this camera, although maybe my expectations have simply changed over the last ten years. - Taking photos remotely is a little slow and inconvenient. With such a long extension pole, a dedicated remote feels essential. Running around with a phone in your hand is awkward and risky. Overall, though, this camera feels exceptionally complete, fast, and well thought out. My first impression is that DJI understands exactly what this kind of product should be. I bought it on sale for $421, plus shipping to Armenia and import duties. That's definitely a noticeable amount of money where I live, but I honestly think it was worth it. This is one of those products that leaves very little room for doubt or second thoughts. When you look at the alternatives, it simply stands out as the best choice for active, on-the-go shooting. Sure, it doesn't have the mechanical gimbal stabilization of the Pocket series, but it's also much cheaper, waterproof, far more rugged, still stabilizes surprisingly well, fits almost anywhere, and works great on an extension pole. For travel, hiking, and everyday adventures, that combination of versatility and durability makes much more sense to me. ... show more

I am genuinely impressed with the DJI Osmo Action 6. It is impressively small and light, and the magnetic snap on mount makes switching setups so effortless. I picked this up primarily for my outdoor adventures and for recording Little League baseball games. The 4K60fps footage looks fantastic for sports. While the default wide angle is a bit aggressive, there are simple settings to straighten the image, and it provides perfect coverage for the entire baseball field. When I take it out for other shoots, I love that it is compatible with all my existing GoPro accessories. The Capture More Combo is definitely the way to go. The included extension rod and the extra battery are absolutely essential for longer days. I am very happy with this purchase. ... show more

Edit: Newest Update allows for 8K video at 30fps...big upgrade! This is my first action camera, and I picked up the DJI Action 6 for an upcoming trip. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. The camera is incredibly compact, making it easy to carry and mount anywhere, and the video quality is outstanding. The low-light performance is surprisingly good for an action cam, and the RockSteady stabilization is amazing—it makes handheld and action shots look smooth and professional with very little effort. For a beginner, it’s extremely easy to use right out of the box. I did notice that the Enhance Bundle isn’t quite the same as the Adventure Bundle from past launches (it appears to be short one battery), but considering the overall price at the time of purchase, it’s still a great deal for DJI’s latest action camera. You still get 2 magnetic mount clips and the extension rod. Perfect vlog style camera so far, with the battery, extension rod and the durability of the camera, theres nothing to fiddle around with and to distract you when you are out and about. Quick and easy video camera for anyone. Also has D-LogM, which allows you to color grade, but for most, just use the DJI Lut or just film regular 10-BIt and slap a preset film tone and you are done! I bought the DJI Osmo Action 6 Enhanced Combo, and overall it is a good solid action camera setup. The camera itself feels well built, and the overall quality is good. It is compact, easy to carry, and works well for action shots, hobby filming, YouTube-style content, or just having a small camera that can go places a regular camera would be annoying to use. The video quality is one of the best parts. The footage looks good, and the image stabilization helps make handheld shots look much smoother than filming with no stabilization. That makes it a lot more useful if you are walking around, filming projects, or trying to get cleaner action footage. The durability and water resistance are also nice features. It feels like a camera you can actually take outside, mount, move around with, and not baby too much. I like that it is built for more rugged use instead of feeling fragile. Connectivity has been fine for my use, and the Enhanced Combo comes with useful extras and little accessories that make it feel more complete right out of the box. For value for money, I like that I did not immediately feel like I had to buy a bunch of extra pieces just to start using it. My only complaint is the mic/audio side. The camera is good, but the microphone could use some work. The audio is usable, but if sound quality really matters, I would probably use an external mic or separate audio setup.
