  • Perfect for using two DJI Mic 2 mics with the Sony a6700...
... and other cameras that use that same hot shoe configuration. The connection with the mics is fast once you turn on the receiver. No drop off or interference. A much better solution than using the 3.5mm cable. The adapter mounts fast and easy and is unobtrusive. I saw a couple reviews online that said it would be better if the adapter could be turned so you could see it from the front of the camera (it can't), but I have found that to be no issue; if videoing from the front of the camera, you would have the display screen rotated so you can see it from the front, and you get the "green lines" on the screen so you can see what the mics are doing. This is a smart accessory for those who want to use two DJI Mic2 mics with their camera. ... show more

  • Does not work with Sony a6400
The product is very well made however oddly enough it is not compatible with the earlier a6000-6400 aps-c models, I am not sure about 6700 I assume they would update the hotshoe to be able to receive devices through the flash port, maybe this is some that just requires a software update.

  • It really is a game changer for people who film a lot.
I wondered for more than a year if this product was worth it or not. I hated being on shoots and not having visibility from behind the camera, or a clean mounting solution to monitor audio when plugged directly into the camera. This solves that, but also since it enables audio connection from the hot shoe mount itself, you don't have to worry about the 3.5mm audio cable. I like having less cables. I use it on a pair of FX3s and a Sony A7RV at times. It's fantastic! If you're on the fence like I was, just buy it. It's worth it. ... show more

  • Dji 2 mic adapter is not compatible with Sony A6400
I bought this adapter and it doesn’t work for me because they don’t specify which Sony camera models are compatible. I have a Sony A6400 and after the adapter arrived I realized that they weren’t compatible. Honestly it has been very frustrating because the audio from the DJI2 mic through the cable to the camera is not very good and sounds a little saturated. I was hoping that with the adapter I could get a much more professional audio but it seems that I won’t be able to enjoy 100% good direct audio from the DJI2 to my camera since they are not compatible. I have spent almost $500 on the DJI 2 mic, 2 stands, and the adapter and honestly the audio from the cable transmitter to the camera is not very good, they have to try to find a solution. The internal audio from the DJI2 when recording sounds 100% good but if you try to do it with the camera it doesn’t sound professional. ... show more

  • AMAZING Updated technology
Gone are the days of corded inputs. Having to worry about placing your camera down on the correct side. Being mindful of how you plug things in (which u still should anyways) And having to send your camera in for repairs. This paired with the sony hotshoe mic is a gamechanger. Not having to worry about cords and the usage/breaking it is so nice. Just attaching it onto hotshoe, confirming twice. It works perfectly, sounds exactly the same. Just FEELS faster and more efficient. ... show more

  • You MUST update DJI MIC2 Firmware!
This thing is great in terms of how easy it is to use and the fact that it saves you yet another cable on set. However, there are 3 important factors you should consider: 1- You MUST update to the latest MIC2 firmware. I assume this applies mostly to newer cameras like mine (Sony a7c2) because I didn’t see any other mention of it in other reviews. Without the update, the thing is glitchy and most of the time it simply doesn’t work. No wonder it’s pretty much the only thing on the instructions manual. Once the firmware is updated, it works consistently. 2- The automatic off/on function, which is great for those of us who like saving battery life by turning off all cameras in between takes, ceases to function. No way around it. 3- Another big bummer is that I can no longer adjust camera audio levels with this thing connected, only transmitter and receiver levels. This might apply only to the A7Cii, I haven’t tested it on other cameras. Despite these three caveats, I still think it’s worth having. ... show more
