My first DJI product was a Phantom 3 Professional I bought when they first came out. I love that drone. When the Mavic Pro was announced, I was intrigued by the size and how compact it was when folded up but could be quickly deployed when needed. The Mavic Pro is amazing. It is stable. Hovers great and shoots good stable video. I got the Mavic Pro Combo because it has extra stuff, most importantly, props and batteries, and I was able to fit it all in the bag. The camera on the P3P is better overall but the ease of the Mavic Pro and very good image/video makes it my favorite. I have a lot to learn about everything Mavic can do and how to get the best out of the camera and I am enjoying every moment of it. ... show more

    • My best investment
I bought this to take aerial footage while on all the trips I will go on this year. It's the perfect size for traveling with, super compact, both the drone itself and the control. And the carrying case is great. It has waterproof zippers and you can fit everything in it, I even fit in my sports camera and point and shoot camera in it, along with everything else. The drone itself provides excellent footage! The quality amazes me and the stability on the camera is incredible. This is my FIRST drone and it's super easy to maneuver, I haven't yet tried using all the functions it has but they look pretty simple as well. First of all this dji mavic is complete magic! Within an hour I cracshed the new mavic having me replace the wings lol :) when I finically got tripod mode, I felt confident in handing over the remote control, my sister is confident in flying the aircraft indoors. I start to record and I see she is A little confused, and one thing led to another, and she accidentally lead the drone straight for the 45" tv. Lucky us, the Samsung was able to withstand the propellers and just get scratches, no breakeage. Long story short! This mavic is magic! It's still flying and I have gone and been able to take some photos far beyond anything I have ever seen or imagined! It's heaven lol ... show more

Let me just say I love my Mavic pro. I have had it for a few months now and I’m very happy with how well it preforms. The only issue that I have is with the batteries. Upon arrival 1 or my 3 batteries were bad. I contacted DJI who replaced it for free, it did take a few weeks to get my replacement. The second issue with the batteries, when they sit and aren’t being used they drain. I had all 3 batteries charged and put in the case, 3 weeks later when I went to fly all the batteries had less than 50% charge. I since have noticed the batteries drain like this when not used. Just remember to charge them before you fly. Overall I love my Mavic and would recommend it to anyone. The picture quality is great and it’s nkt hard to fly. EDIT: After reading some online post, I discovered the batteries and made to self-drain after to 5 days to increase the life of the battery. ... show more

    • This is a Great Quad with terrible software and support
Pros: Unlike some (sorry) I ordered this bundle on 2/4 and received on 2/15 in perfect condition. Has worked perfectly from the very first flight. I love it. I'm not a professional photographer but the pictures and movies are great. Very easy and very fun to fly. I think almost anyone could successfully pilot this quad. Truely a tech marvel. I would recommend to anyone with a desire to see what advance quads can do and have a lot of fun doing it. Cons: It turns out the DJI GO4 software is really, really bad at least on Android. After a couple of days of flawless flying and an App upgrade (ha), it has gone bad. I have tried 2 Samsung phones, the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S7edge. The S5 is on their recommended list. It is almost to the point where I can't fly the aircraft at all. DJI support is non-existent. I've been waiting a week to get a response from support. If you do have a problem, warranty repair is taking 4-8 weeks. Do yourself a favor and read the Mavic forum on the DJI website and read the reviews for the DJI GO4 app on Google Play and you'll get a sense for what's going on. On a positive note, it seems that Apple IOS users are having MUCH more success with the app and their experience has been great. I now give this one star as it is almost impossible to fly and dangerous with the app crashing all the time. ... show more

    • Good drone for professional or beginner
Shipped very quickly. I've only flown a couple hours now, but it's a very impressive device. It takes some time to learn all the features. Remember to remove the gimbal guards and do the firmware updates. The combo package is absolutely worth it. The extra batteries and charger are a must have. The bag is a tight fit for the remote, but can fit all batteries,drone,controller,spare props. Remember to register your drone with the money hungry FAA (5bucks) and get a certificate if planning to operate commercially. It's also worth noting that this machine has unbelievable camera stabilization. Recorded action shots in 15-20kt winds. No shake, no blur. Really impressive! ... show more

    • Expensive, but it could be worth your while.
I don’t recommend this as your first drone. However, the mavic pro is definitely easy to use. I also want to emphasize that I bought this as a hobbyist, but now that I’m down $1k, I’m going to become a commercial drone pilot to earn a little money back (return on investment). If you buy this, I strongly recommend doing the same. Do three things: 1) buy the fly more combo, and the care plan from DJI! The combo gives you so much more flight time, so I recommend it. 2) get rid of the small pouch, and get a camera backpack. You am size the inserts to fit your drone and accessories! 3) get your commercial license and earn your money back! This thing can pay for itself! ... show more

    • What to look out for with the camera
It was sold as new and there were heavy scratches on the lower left side of the cooling fins on the bottom chassis I still took it for several flights for the first 24 hours 16 flights to be exact on the 16th flight when I brought it down the camera and the gimbal completely stopped operating so this is a DJI product get the DJI care refresh insurance through DJI just like I did I'm working with them now to get this issue fixed it's not the sellers fault it could be a warranty issue that's what DJI told me so don't hold this against the seller ... show more
