  • Sturdy, but sloppy manufacturing
I'm constantly working around the house and I love being organized, so I grabbed this little plastic hand tool box to help our if I need to take tools far from the toolbox or on the road. Overall, I am giving this 3/5 stars due to the quality of the toolbox and the various manufacturing defects I observed. Notably, the box has plastic flashing leftover from the injection molding process everywhere as shown in the photo that includes the toolbox latch. This ranges from minor in some places to intrusive and scraping your hands up during use in other places. To me, this is unacceptable and is not found on Husky and Craftsman branded toolboxes from big-box hardware stores. Design wise, I think the box has a really large footprint for the amount of interior space due to the wide outer lip. The red "small parts" box fits poorly in the box and is very light duty so I discarded it. This box has plastic hinges and plastic hinge pins which is generally not a sign of a heavy duty tool box, however one redeeming factor that I actually really like is the fact that the handle, when in the upright position, latches and grabs onto the bottom portion of the toolbox, so the weight of the box is directly picked up by the handle rather than transferred through the rear plastic hinges and the front latch. I would have given this 4 stars if the box did not have these manufacturing defects. It required about 10 minutes of trimming the excess plastic and filing it all down smooth which is unnecessary, Build quality wise, it still isn't as high quality as Craftsman, Husky, or DeWalt toolbox offerings. ... show more

  • Organized
Using this to hold my bike tools. Small thing on top and wrench on bottom. There is smaller organizing box inside. It is not big but will work.

  • Nice little tool box. Fairly lightweight.
BOTTOM LINE: 1. I recommend this Diybox Strongo toolbox. 2. The current price of $30 is a bit high. LIKES: - Nice organization. - Handle is easy to grab. - Good for a small set of tools. DISLIKES: - Somewhat underwhelming. Not all that strong.

  • The Right Size for an SNL Dip in a Box
As Justin Timberlake said, Hey girl, I got somethin' real important to give you, So just sit down and listen. To all the fellas out there with ladies to impress, you can make anything fit in this toolbox; it’s easy to do just follow these steps: 1, cut a hole in a box. 2, put your junk in that box. 3, make your girl open the box. And that's the way you do it. In all seriousness, the plastic on this box appears strong and rigid, but with enough flexibility that it shouldn’t crack with impacts, and I like how the handle doesn’t put stress on the center of the lid like many other budget toolboxes. Unfortunately, however, the three hinges are plastic, they are held together by plastic pins, so that doesn’t inspire confidence. The single latch is metal, although I would have preferred double latches, and despite what the listing says, the clasp does not have a lock. When the handle is in the up position, the lid won’t open, and there are a couple of holes in the lid’s lip to add small padlocks if you wish. The two removeable trays for small items are handy and I am glad they can be left out if you decide you don’t want to use them, as on many other budget boxes they are permanently installed. I am also glad this is made in Turkey instead of China. Although many dimensions are listed for this toolbox, it doesn’t say much for internal dimensions. The usable internal dimensions are 12.5-inches long, 5.25-inches wide, and from the bottom to the top of the latch it is 5-inches high. The lid adds 0.75-inches, so total internal height is 5.75-inches. This is a decent toolbox that has some nice features, but I will say that it is on the pricey side for what it is and would be improved if it had double latches and metal pins in the hinges. For me, this is where I will keep my dip in a box. ... show more

  • A Small but Sturdy Toolbox with Accessory Compartments
This plastic toolbox by Diybox is somewhat small but good as a basic tool carrier or for organizing a particular set of tools. This may be a good one for basic tools and accessories to keep in your car for emergency situations. I found this useful for organizing my soldering tools and accessories but it can be a bit limited depending on the size of your stuff. The box comes with two organizing trays, one of which fits neatly beneath the lid while the smaller one fits a little clumsily beneath and may take up too much of the storage space inside the box. It may have just been added as an extra storage bin but I'll not be using it inside the box. Although the lid has a big catch for securing, there's also a latch built into the yellow handle that will engage a couple of tabs inside the box to keep it locked when the handle is up. An interesting design but seems a little clunky and unnecessary although it may prevent accidental spillage of the contents should you pick it up while forgetting to close the catch. There is also some available space within the lid cavity above the organizer tray but you'll need to position anything that goes there carefully so not to prevent the lid from closing. Although this toolbox is useful, I think the design has some redundant features and doesn't make the best use of the available space. It is however a sturdy little box and at the current price of $29.99, I'll give it 4 stars. ... show more

  • It’s ok.
This toolbox is ok. It get the job done for the price. It’s nothing special but it isn’t terrible. There are some. I’ve features like the internal top covered small parts/items storage and the when the handle is up it locks the lid closed. It comes with a second internal storage but hilariously doesn’t fit inside all that well. Consider it a bonus container and not part of the toolbox. In summary, if the price is right and the size is what you’re looking for then this may work for you. ... show more

  • Small toolbox
This is exactly what you get, an inexpensive toolbox. For the price it is great. If you are expecting super heavy duty look elsewhere and pay more.

  • Good tool box
This is a decent tool box that is reasonably well constructed, although it doesn't have a lot of capacity. Whether it works for you depends on what you need to carry around. The main compartment is not quite large enough to hold a regular 16 oz hammer. As show in the picture it can hold a smaller 7 oz hammer and regular size screwdrivers. The upper tray can hold some smaller tools like screwdrivers or folding hex keys. It could also be used for hardware. The included organizer tray can hold hardware like electrical connectors or screws and bolts. The organizer tray does fit into the main compartment if you want it to. The only thing I didn't really like is the area at the center top of the lid is not well finished where it was separated from the mold and shows lots of scratches. ... show more

  • small capacity box
The tool box is a good design but very small. The lid does latch when the handle is raised, there is a lift out tray and there is a small box for very small parts that fits down in the box under the tray. I had intended to put some electrical tools in but there just wasn't room in the lift out tray for anything but maybe two screwdrivers. I removed the tray and small box and filled the bottom of the main box with staples, brads, and small oil bottles for my staplers and brad nailer. Without the tray, there is room for a manual stapler on top of the supplies. ... show more

  • It's nice but would have preferred a plastice buckle
I live in a humid area so I'm hoping the latch buckle won't start rusting. Other than that the toolbox is great and I really like the included organization trays/containers. I was needing something like this. Price seems a bit steep though given how small it is. I've seen other larger toolboxes priced similarly. ... show more

  • Light duty.
It's not the strongest toolbox, so I would suggest not putting actual tools in it. This is a better option for lightweight things. My first thought is an RC toolbox, as RC parts and tools are lighter and smaller. It has lots of small storage organizers for small items. Interestingly, the handle is part of the lock, helping give it more durability during transport. ... show more

  • Sturdy
So I like this toolbox a lot, so why only 4 stars. The locking mechanism in the handle. you have to have the handle closed in order to open it up. I am not sure why they wanted two mechanisms in order to open it up, but its an extra step I do not need to take. Otherwise its a great item. its durable held all my everyday tools easily. The 2 compartment containers are nice but I only use the red one. The shelf container ends up blocking my quick to reach tools. All in all its a good solid box its just that handle lock that I could do without. ... show more

  • seem strong, metal clasp, no lock
This seem strong enough with a covered tray and a bonus small parts box. I was hoping I could squeeze my hammer drill in it that did not come with a case, but it's too small for that. It will however find another use in my shop. There is a light duty metal clasp with no way to lock it - though I wouldn't use that anyway. The handle goes clear across which makes me think it will be easier to break. I don't really see anything special here, and the price seems high especially when the discount "freight" store has a 4 box set for less (with the coupon). ... show more

  • 16-in plastic tool box.
It is a little bit smaller than I was expecting, but it will be a good little toolbox to keep in the house. The inside tray has dividers with a lid, and there was an extra little box on the inside with dividers and a lid. You're not going to fit a whole lot of tools in it, but it should hold the essentials you would need. It's not going to hold a drill, or even possibly a hammer, less is a smaller hammer. It does have a metal latch, with plastic hinges. It also has a caring handle. ... show more

  • Decent quality
This is a basic, single metal latch, plastic tool box. It's very basic and standard in every regard. It is on the smaller side. The hinges and latch are fine. You're only going to get a few smaller size tools in here. This tool box is very overpriced for what it is.
