This kit isn’t the kind I usually gravitate towards. So I did something a little different. It turned out great, but I’m not 100% sure where I want to display it since I have the magic ones in one spot and the Japanese-themed ones in another area. None of that matters. I enjoyed the kit. It was fun to put together. The instructions were easy to follow. One of the things I most love about Soothee book nook kits is the attention to detail that they add, which makes it just a pure pleasure. Also, I’m a sucker for the kits with lights. I absolutely love being able to go into the room with the blackout curtains and only have the lights from my book nooks showing different vignettes. I’d say these are a good value because of the pleasure they bring when putting them together and looking at them when they’re complete. I like doing them a little bit each night before bed. I find it very relaxing.

I'm going to start with a caution: This is a beautiful kit, however the description in the listing does not match the actual project as pictured. Once in a while there is a mismatch between photos and description in the listings, and usually the description correct. I purchased expecting the Dreamy Loft 2 story design with a telescope and more earthy appeal. So, I was a little disappointed that the pictures are the correct model. I have done a few with this contemporary house design in the past, but I was looking for something more in line with the description in the listing. So just be aware that you are purchasing what you see not what is described in the first part of the listing details. The Soothee "Dreamy Loft" kit is a true miniature build rather than an actual Book Nook. Important to know if this popped up in your "Book Nook" search. This kit involves building every detail from the components provided. Printed details are on paper or stickers and need to be glued on. The house itself is built up from component parts that need to be attached and glued. this is not a snap together mortise and tenon process as most curated Book Nook kits are. Also, while the finished project can be displayed on a shelf, these miniature houses are not designed to double as bookends, or to hide between books as a surprise accent. This is a project for those who have patience, love putting together small detail, and want a project that will take some time. You will need a place to work on this that it can sit undisturbed over a period of time. Book Nooks (curated kits and "from scratch", and miniature house builds re my go-to hobby. I've done well over 100, and these types of kits typically are done over several weeks. This is not a weekend or rainy day project. these kits take focus, patience, and attention to detail. There are 2 types of glue provided with the kit, and you will be doing a lot of gluing and waiting for glue to dry. You will need to provide 2 AAA batteries. There are a tweezer and a ruler provided. You will also need fine craft scissors. I like to have toothpicks on hand for applying glue to small pieces. The components seem well made and are standard for creating the types of details involved in this kit. You will be truly building every detail from the tiny chairs to the lampshades and lamps! Follow the excellent instructions and take your time. It's not as complicated or difficult as it looks at first. The instructions are colored step by step pictures with written English prompts. The glues are not labeled. The Alcohol based glue for hard pieces is the one in the tube. This type of glue has fumes that can be harmful to pets especially birds.If you keep birds, I recommend that you replace that glue with Aleene's Original Tacky Glue. The quick dry and fast grab formulas work well. Do not use super glue in these kits. It is unforgiving if you make a placement mistake and can damage the finish of the pieces. Lighting instructions on these kits always look confusing. The trick is to make sure you have everything untangled and lined up properly before you get started. You'll see that it's very easy to do. And the lighting really brings these miniatures to life and reveals all those tiny details that took so much time to make. The listing fo this kit says 6 - 8 hours, and with all my experience I could do it in 6-8 hours of hands-on time. NOT counting time for glue to dry. However, I think that 12 - 18 hours hands on time plus time for glue to cure and set properly is more realistic. I've set this kit aside to build when I have time to work on it regularly (off gardening/bee keeping season). Overall a good value for a qaulity kit that will give hours of crafting relaxation as well as a nice, finished project to display. Just wish they would correct the listing and can't wait till they release the project that is described.

I thought this would be a fun project as I just started making minis and book nooks. It is NOT a book nook. This is a straight up doll house that you have to upholster furniture, make pillows, lots of paper cutting and gluing. Not a snap together. Really, not what I was wanting or expected. Will return

I didn't like the kit and I do quite a few of these a year. The design was excessively complicated, the pieces delicate and the amount of trash it created was annoying. I honestly didn't finish it because I just couldn't get into working on it. I will say that it came with two types of glue for the different materials, which I appreciated. That way the plastic/acrylic pieces would stick together. If you like super complicated sets, this is for you. Several of the pieces broke or didn't fit well, so it was very frustrating.

I love this now that I've finished putting it together, but during the process, I was less than loving. It wasn't bad and overall it was fun to put together. It has a ton of little things and details that I don't think I would have ever seen had I not put it together myself. Now I can show those little things off of friends and family that visit me and look at it. The instructions looked complicated at first, but turned out to be very helpful after I got use to reading them and understanding them. I just took my time and didn't try to rush the assembly of this. It took a while to get somethings in place the way I wanted or how they needed to be, but the effort and slow pacing helped it look much better in the finished look. The LED lights, while being a bit of a pain to deal with at first, turned out to be easy to deal with once I figured out how. These LED lights also really bring life to this cozy house when they are turned on. I don't usually turn them on, but sometimes I will and I always do when I have company over. The overall quality of the kit is very good and all the pieces are also good. The wood itself survived me assembling with it, so that's a plus. All the other accessories also look nice. I don't know if I want to build another one again so quickly after finishing this one, but I do want to work on one again. Maybe one or two a year would be good enough for me.

This celestial themed loft was such a lovely build from Soothee. The astronomy details, the tiny telescope, the star charts, the cozy little bedding, all of it comes together so nicely for someone who loves that dreamy, celestial aesthetic like I do. It's more like a 3D puzzle than an intense build, challenging enough to be satisfying without ever getting to the point where you're fed up, which is exactly what I love about this brand. It also had all the parts it needed. I used my miniature specific instant set glue as always and everything came together smoothly. I do put rechargeable batteries in all my Soothee kits with lighting and the lights work great with no blinking. It looks so beautiful glowing at night, that warm light through the little loft windows adds such a cozy touch to my shelf full of completed kits.

The Soothee DIY Miniature House Kit is easy to assemble, and the directions are clear and straightforward. This particular Nook Book is more detailed than the others I’ve completed, so it naturally takes longer — but that’s part of the enjoyment. It’s a relaxing, slow‑paced project meant to be savored, not rushed. I keep it on my table and work on it a little at a time, mainly on Saturdays. I expect it to take me several weekends to finish. So far, the steps have been smooth. Some areas need to be glued and allowed to dry before moving on, but the included glue dries quickly and holds well. The instructions were clear for the most part. The only issue I encountered was one mislabeled piece: G)39 was almost 2" shorter than the instructions indicated, which caused some confusion and required guesswork to identify the correct part. The cut precision on these puzzles continues to amaze me. This kit is no exception — the laser cuts are hair‑thin and extremely accurate, even on the tiniest pieces. The wood thickness is perfect, and every piece is flat, smooth, and free of warping, splinters, or rough edges. The paper elements (posters, books, wallpaper) have excellent print clarity, accurate colors, and feel durable. Two types of glue are included — a fast‑drying clear craft glue and a fast‑drying white glue — and both provide a strong, reliable hold. The finished look of this kit is going to be impressive. There are so many charming details, and standout features like the piano and the adorable dining setup really elevate the scene. The colors and design match the listing photos perfectly, and the quality in person is just as high as advertised. This kit is beginner‑friendly, but it’s not a quick build. It requires patience and steady hands, so it’s best suited for people with decent motor skills. It may be challenging for someone with shaky hands. All pieces were separated logically, labeled well, and arrived in excellent condition. This would make a wonderful gift — either as a project or as a completed display piece.
